I assume the question to be that (a) you are on birth control pills, (b) have missed one or two pills and (c) have had sexual intercourse.

    1) Yes, missing one pill can lead to pregnancy. It is even quite likely. There are very many children alive that have been conceived exactly this way.

    2) If you miss one pill, the contraception efficacy of the whole cycle is lost. Use another contraceptive method till the next period. As soon as you start the next pack in the next cycle, the contraception will work from day 1 on.

    3) If you miss one pill, continue to take a daily pill anyway. It is better for your body not to jump on and off birth control.

    4) If since the missed pill and first sexual intercourse after missing the pill less than 72 h have passed, you might consider to take the morning-after pill. There is no sense in taking the morning-after pill if the first unprotected sex is more than 72 h old.

In summary: One missed pill = possible pregnancy. Even not unlikely.

you can conceive if you miss 1 or 2 pills, because the hormones are not there to prevent ovulation, however, it is rare... you would have to be extremely unlucky!!
