For everyone: Are you a pagan?

From etymonline.com:

pagan: c.1375, from L.L. paganus "pagan," in classical L. "villager, rustic, civilian," from pagus "rural district," originally "district limited by markers," thus related to pangere "to fix, fasten," from PIE base *pag- "to fix" (see pact). Religious sense is often said to derive from conservative rural adherence to the old gods after the Christianization of Roman towns and cities; but the word in this sense predates that period in Church history, and it is more likely derived from the use of paganus in Roman military jargon for "civilian, incompetent soldier," which Christians (Tertullian, c.202; Augustine) picked up with the military imagery of the early Church (e.g. milites "soldier of Christ," etc.).

Are you a 'soldier of God' willing to kill nonbelievers in the name of your religion, or are you really a pagan at heart?

Pagan at heart -- and in religious practice as a Hellenic Reconstructionist (We have a HUGE amount of historical evidence that is being found concerning the religious practices of the Classical and Hellenistic periods in Greece so, like many Heathens, we have a clear view of what was actually believed and practiced)

this is the church's fault. while the church wanted to transform people from their pagan strategies, they accompanied numerous of their celebrations, etc. so they'd extra truthfully convert. besides to this, in addition they created many falsehood's with regard to the pagan strategies - which in time grew to become into pagans being evil. The horned god of the pagans at last grew to become a devil image to the church. As you look into the character of paganism you will detect a worrying, nurturing and open minded faith. I grew up in a Christian homestead and my mom constantly stated the be conscious "Pagan" in a destructive way. yet as quickly as I have been given older an appeared into this, i found many positives regarding the pagan faith. fairly, the be conscious pagan unquestionably ability u . s . a . dweller. From my adventure, many religious people will believe what the church teaches them with out question, and additionally will refuse to look into it themselves because of the fact this would be putting out themselves as much as the devil.

    Actually I'm a Heathen

    Pagan all the way.

I thought Christianity left the crusades back in the dark ages. Guess what - we shoot back now. As for "soldiers of God" - how about being real soldiers and doing something useful instead of trying to convert everyone they meet?

Pagan at heart. I am not a 'soldier of God', and although I have been called a spiritual warrior, I am a lightworker.

I have no interest in a God that asks me to kill people in his name when it clearly states in the bible "Though shall not kill."

And for your information, the real definition for Pagan originally was "country dweller".

    Pagan at heart and location

  • I'm not willing to kill anyone for anything, much less their beliefs, so I guess I'm a pagan.

I am sorry, but neither God nor Jesus said kill nonbelievers. I am Wicca, but I also know about Christianity. MAN makes that decision and blames it on God. I will not kill nonbelievers nor believers as long as they do not threaten my family, friends or home/homeland!

You need to find balance in your life. Start with LOVE and search into those areas. Everything less then the true FREE LOVE, everything is power, control, greed and murder.
