Ron Paul voted against the Commodity Futures Modernization Act, Bill Clinton made it law, now oil is $125brrl?
The Commodity Futures Modernization Act allows oil to be traded on unregulated markets. This has allowed speculation (investment without intent to use oil) to drive up oil prices to where they are today. (read this: http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Global_Economy/JE06Dj...

Nancy Pelosi also voted for this bill. So did anyone else you can think of.
Ron Paul is 1 of 4 congressmen who voted against it and what is now called the Enron Loophole.
Just another example of leadership by Ron Paul that demonstrates he is not owned by the corporations.
He is the only person worth voting for

This article on oil pricing should be front page news all across America.
It explains exactly why gas/fuel prices are high, when they shouldn't be.
Mrs. Clinton was involved in a commodities scandal way back in Arkansas when Bill Clinton was Governor, if my memory is correct.
She made millions of dollars trading, and people suspected she had insider trading information. { a tip on future commodity pricing }
You see the markets are now not dependent on the supply demand factor,,,they can be bid up by buyers with big bucks, using margin requirements, to be way, way, higher than the supply demand factor would allow,,,,
They also can be bid down by sellers selling short contracts. { A short means only a promise to sell at some time in the future. }
Ron Paul may be the only congressman that would expose this FRAUD, because many of the others are getting rich from knowing insider information!!!!

This issue was also raised recently by Highways and Transit Subcommittee chairman Rep. Peter DeFazio (Oregon) in the May 6 hearing on Rising Diesel Fuel Costs in the Trucking Industry.

The video of that hearing is here:

If more Americans were informed about how this affects them, there would be an immediate uproar.

First of all, I am voting for Ron Paul even if I have to write him in on my ballot.
As far as oil being $125 a barrel goes, there is a bigger picture here. It is my belief that environmentalists are the biggest cause of high fuel/oil prices. Every time we even think about drilling for oil, here comes the litigation, and lawsuits, from enviromental groups, and shuts it down. EPA regs are so tight that we can't even build a new oil refinery in USA (last one built in the '70's), and meet their criteria.
The Greenies want $5+ gas, as that keeps everyone from driving, and 'polluting'. Supply, and demand are generally the biggest causes for inflated prices, and if the supply is regulated then...Dems have blindly long stood in support of environmental lobbyists, and this is the sole reason I will never support any Democrat EVER.
I find it sadly amusing that we have environmental regs that prevent us from drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, at some heritage/ water wilderness site in our waters near Cuba. Yet it doesn't stop Mexico, or Cuba from doing it just on their side of the line, sticking their straws in the same oil we arent 'allowed' to take. So we buy the oil from them that we (the USA) should be getting for ourselves. We can't drill there as were protecting the environment?! I find it suspisiously ironically conveient that there is a Wilderness area, or some indangered creature every place we have oil to be drilled. I guess other countries just don't pollute, and were the only ones, so they get a free pass to take our oil. Go figure!

What is it with you Paultards? You're like zombies. Your chances of seeing Ron Paul in the White House are non-existent. The man's candidacy was DOA, yet you rise from the grave at the slightest provocation. An undead constituency. Truly bizarre, and about as nutty as Paul himself.

Fun fact: Ron Paul votes against EVERY single bill, including one for aid to Darfur.

Yep.
Comrade (and what a fitting name), yes, Ron Paul thinks we need our money in our own pockets and economy, unless we as individuals choose to give it to charity, as we are known to do. You can give yours privately to Dafur, of course.
There is NO justification in the Constitution for the federal government coercing money from Americans to give away overseas. And how easy it is to be spendthrift to aggrandize one's own power when you are spending someone else's money.

Funny how we post a few RP questions, and they call us spammers?! Lol.. the truth is a slap on their face, they'd rather let the government screw up anything. Thanks for bringing up this article. It shows his true colors that he is not owned by the owners of America. Take care.
