Yeah right:)?

http://news.yahoo.com/comics/closetohome;_ylt=AmQH... this was kinda funny so I though I'd share it with those who don't read the Y! comics daily.

Lets see a real Q. Do you think Dallas can pull of winning the series?

Update:

Heavysoviet: Yeah I want them to win but I really doubt it. I honestly think the Pens are taking it home this yr. (Sorry Flyers fans)

    HAHAHA!! That pic is hilarious.

I believe the Stars can force it to Game 6 at the most, but I don't think they will win it, sorry Rz, I know you want them to, lol.

RZ - Who knows, the finals wouldn't be fun if our predictions were correct, right?

Hahahah, that's awesome. Those Rangers and Flyers look like one big happy family!

I love how Rod Gilbert and Brian Leetch are playing, too! Good to see them back in action.

Unfortunately, no, I don't think Dallas can win the series. Detroit is just too dominant, and has been having their way with everyone. I didn't see the game tonight, but a 34-18 shots advantage? That's so typical for them, it's insane... they're averaging 14 shots more than their opponents for the playoffs!

I don't think anyone can compete with the Wings right now.

EDIT: NIPS- great answer. I definitely respect how the wings draft/develop players, and wish Glen Sather wasn't such a friggin' moron, so we'd have a chance to be good as well.

^ Detroit having to rebuild? lmfao@you.... They have 4 scratched Dmen that would be top 5 Dmen for most teams in the league with Lilja, Meech, Ericsson and Quincey! The only ones who will retire are Cheli, Dom, and Drake! Cheli is covered, Dom is covered with bringing up Howard who needs to start getting playing time and Drake can be replaced with any number of prospects or a crafty vet looking to win a Cup for a discount! I doubt you will see any major rebuilding going on in the Wings for quite a while.

I guess you didnt read why Brunnstrom wasnt coming to the Wings? He didnt feel like he was sure he would make the team next year because the Wings are so deep in talent with the regulars and their prospects, so he went to Dallas where it was a guarantee he would make and play on the team (remember we are talking about a hyped player that is suppose to make an impact as a rookie) The Wings are the top franchise right now with drafting and developing plug and play players thru the farm system. Hands Down! Detroit never gets a decent pick, always getting the 27th to 30th pick. In fact, most of their players who currently play on the team are 3rd thru 7th round picks or non drafted players! Name a team that competitive that can say that. You cant.

As much as everyone loves to hate Detroit, they are the model fanchise in that respect. They have kept a balance of fresh faces and vets that slowly retire and get replaced as the team just keeps trucking along not missing a step. Look at all the guys Detroit has let go in the last few years.. Schneider, Bertuzzi, Calder, Lang, Markov, Shanahan, J Williams, Hull, Yzerman (retied), J Fischer (heart), Legace, Ray Whitney, Cujo... just think about it........ if you told someone that in 4 seasons the Wings would lose all those players and still be this good, would you believe it?

The comic is funny. Dallas is beating themselves. In game one it was dumb penalties and in game two it was missing scoring chances. They shoudl see how the Hawks beat the Wings by watching video of the Hawks-WIngs games.

As much as I hate the Wings, I wouldn't mind seeing them win the cup so all of their old players retire and they have to start to rebuild. It would also be a moral victory for the Hawks who didn't make the playoffs, but went 5-3 against the Wings in 2007-08. First team to beat the Wings more than 4 times in a season since 1991-92.

LOL I'd like to see that during exhibition play.

They need to come up with new ways and adapt to the Wings' plays to have a chance of winning. Judging from the box score last night, I think they're trying to do so, so a little bit more tweaking will help.
