Honestly, lets talk about the issues.. What is good for this country right now? Have alot at stake!?

The facts:

1. National Deficit is sky high and value of your Dollar almost stinks.

2. We are at war in two countries and if Iran doesn't straighten up we will be there too! I feel they may be building weapons of mass destruction... heard that before, ain't buying it this time...

3. Gas prices are out of this word driving up food cost and everything else! The working class are now making decisions like should I quit my employment cause I don't have gas to run around the corner. Now gas or food????

4. Because of good ole NAFTA, most employers have bailed out and went across to sea to china, mexico etc to hire cheaper labor vs. having to pay american citizens to support our own country.

5. Those employers who are still here are moving towards contract employment to cut down cost of competitiveness with over seas companies so by doing this you no longer have healthcare and benefits.

Update:

6. 21,000.00 lost employment the first month of this year, 81,000.00 in feb, 81,000.00 in march and 21,000.00 in april, Where on earth are all these folks going to find another employer with the market on the fall...

These are the things we should be talking about and who has the best plan to tackle these problems? Who is even in touch with the american people to know whether these are even issues? Maybe life has not changed for many on these boards for many reasons, but I do care about my fellow americans and want to see this country do better.. What are some of your thoughts and now it is about the issues..period!

We need to create jobs. Tax heavily companies that take factories to other countries. Cut out pork barrel spending. Congress needs to quit giving themselves raises for NOTHING.

We can create jobs by building gas saving cars, alternative energy sources, such as solar and wind.

Its going to take a long long time to dig out of this hole. It can't happen overnight.

We need to clean house in congress. Get rid of the Ted Kennedys, the people that have been there forever. Nothing will change as long as the likes of him is there. We need a more bipartisan congress to work with the president and future presidents and cut this political crap out of congress.

The problem is, many people need relief now. Forclosures, unemployment, food prices and gas prices. Releasing some oil reserves would help temporairly. Building more refineries would help too.

There is so much we can do to make it better. Getting it through Congress is like pulling teeth.

Im sorry some children will go without healthcare, but you have to admit that it is some the parents fault for having kids they can't take care of. Not the presidents. And Im pretty sure that the president can't control the gas prices. Seriously, yall act like he is a God and he can control everything, that is the reason why our government is set up the way it is. And people are still talking about it because that is what the average american wants to hear. Americans aren't smart enough to understand what is really going on so they have to make it something they understand. Drama. Umm I really don't think race is the ussue at all. China will be a superpower, they have been rising for ages. Do you think that them getting "little children healthcare" is going to help our country. NO. It is going to make it to where doctors and such can raise prices because half of the people the government is paying for it. Therefor, us middle class people have to pay the outrageous amounts. They should get their own healthcare. Sorry I am biased. This doesn't apply to all situations. I know this.

A study by the National Taxpayers Union=new policies by=

    obama up by 287 billion.

    clinton up by 226 billion.

mccain up by 7 billion (plus the cost of wars)

Ron Paul would CUT federal spending 150 billion. He is also against any bill contrary to or prohibited by the United States Constitution.

WANT CHANGE? How about changing back to the Constitution-that piece of paper that made this country the greatest in the world !!!!!

Vote Dr. Ron Paul for President

I agree. After the Democratic nominee is selected, the campaign will be between Obama or Clinton and McCain. At that time, both views of the nation's future should be examined, the candidates integrity assessed and a decision made. That's the time for issues. It's too early now - we have until November.

You're right. Congress and the white house don't worry about things like this, though. You don't understand how it works. Congress gets lobbied and bribed, and they serve those that pay the most. The kind of policies that would help are anathema to the business lobby. Ron Paul's approach is the closest to what I think would be the most likely solution, but I know it can't be done. Both parties have been corporatized and compromised, so you can't count on either. Nadar? Nope. Green Party? Are you kidding? Sorry, but I'm afraid that is the way it is.

I agree with 100%...None of these canidates are discussing the issues ,all this damn bickering

Forgot who said it in one of the past elections..."Its the economy Stupid",,now it should be "ITS THE ISSUES"

Im a democrat...but Im more inclined to go with Mccain,AFTER all this time I have really no idea where Clinton and Obama stand.

Last time I checked, the same problems existed in 2006 and the Frikken Democrats SWORE on their lives they would fix them.

That was two years ago, and I note you are bringing up the same issues.

So, tell me should the Democrats be kicked the #$# out of office for incompetence?

I love how idiots complain how the the Dem congress isn't getting things done.

Hmmmm. Kinda forgot that 49% is Republican and keeps dragging things down. Not to mention Bush and his goofy veto pen.

Once we get Obama in office things will go smoothly. And the 49% Republicans can stop being the spoilers.

ABOUT THE ISSUES: Those aren't important! FLAG PINS ARE WHAT'S ON AMERICA'S MIND!

Flag pins are most important---flag pins made in Taiwan. VERY IMPORTANT!----Not!
