And their point of view was now that we were the only super power in the world we should use that power to look after OUR interests to an oil supply. It also went on to state the only way we would be able to secure those interest would be to have a catastrophe like pearl harbor happen to get us into war. You old enough to remember 9/11? you don't seem like it. Well there was a terrorist group called al qadea responcible for that, with an asshole named bin laden running things. Who had no ties to Iraq what so ever. But where is the stink hole bin laden? We captured Saddam hiding in a box, not out amonst people. So where ever bin laden is his box must be 1000 times more secure than Saddams. And also whe something costs 1$ but a month later the SAME thing costs 3$ that is the dollar collapsing. EINSTEIN

And as the question also shows they wrote it was suppost to be for our best intrest but as the price of oil shows it for the oil companies best intrest not the people. One of the things I remember most after MISSION ACCOMPLISHED was them saying Iraqi oil was for the Iraqi people, who are still standing in line for their gas. And this isnt even 10 years after that stupid paper came out.

The real reason dollar is collapsing is because the Federal government heavily interferes with how the economy should function - on its own. Fed pumps in a lot of money, which weakens the dollar.

I for surely think US will definitely use the Iraqi oil if need be and pretty soon. I also think Bush had a personal motive (being close friends of Saudis) to get a handle on the Iraq's vast reserves of oil. Ron Paul should have had a fair chance in this election who knows how the economy functions (he also wanted to get rid of Income taxes) but obviously the media and the corporate world masked his campaign.

I think there are a lot of reasons why we went into Iraq. One of which is oil. If Iraq cut off our oil supply do you realize how much trouble we would be in! If our government would stop listening to all the nature freaks and dig for oil in our own country (Alaska) we wouldn't have a problem. I can't remember the exact date but I think it was like 1970's when we last drilled for oil in our own country. This is ridiculous! Yeah I care about nature but give me a break. When do animal have more rights then we humans do?

We didn't go to Iraq for oil. Iraq will not be America's Gas Pump. We should be drilling for our own oil in our own country.
