What do you think?
My daughter is 29 months old and has already mastered her ABC's including being able to recognize them, can count to Twenty and recognize her numbers, knows all her colors, talks in complete sentences, knows all her shapes from circle to octagon, she also draws happy faces, sad faces, and mad faces. She has been putting puzzles designed for 4 year old together since she was 18 months old. Do you think I should explore the possibility that she might be gifted? Or is this normal? My husband and I have never pushed her to do these things she just has had the interest to learn.....it is fun for her! Oh yeah, her preschool teacher just told me that she is recognizing all the children's names in her class when she sees a piece of paper with their names on them.

I think your daughter and my son have a lot in common. He is 28 mos. and can do most of that but I have never really made anything out of it because I don't want to turn him away or pressure him. I think its great that you and your husband aren't pushing her either. I think it might be a good idea to speak to her teachers to see where she compares and maybe just do some more asking around or researching about gifted children to see what your next move should be. I think that its definatly something to support though. Good luck!

my daughter is 27 months old and is very similar to your daughter, I had tried to do research on gifted children and everything that I come up with is for older children. I can't find any programs that work with two year old gifted children. So if you find anything out I would love to know my e-mail is cnfaaluft@sbcglobal.net

i would definitely say she is smarter than most. I'm glad you're not pushing her to do things, so this makes her achievements even more amazing!! I would definitely look into some sort of special program for her.

She seems very smart. I would talk more with her teachers, and see what they think and how she reacts during class. She seems very above average, though.
