How long have you been watching professional wrestling?

How young were you and what wrestler caught your attention and turned you into a fan?

* For me it was my step-dad takeing me to live shows and what hooked me was shakeing hands with Andre the Giant and Omar Atlas after the show.

Update:

* Stars are allways appreciated...

    When I was 5 or maybe even younger. I uses to watch Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Rowdy Roddy Piper, The Road Warriors, Bret "Hitman" Hart, Brother Love, The Ultimate Warrior, etc., etc. It goes on and on and on.

    By the way I'm 33 now.

  • I'm 20 now. I was around 3 when I began watching. My brother was a huge fan and my father even watched. I didn't go to my first event until 2004 but I did meet Taker when I was like 7. I've been around it my whole life. I've been a fan of Shawn Michaels since as long as I can remember. The love for the wwe never faded. It only got stronger.

    It was in the summer of 1967, I was 10 and my brother was 8. We were bored one Saturday afternoon and were flipping through the TV channels (all 9 of them; yep, that's all we had back then) looking for something, anything, to watch.

    On one channel, a white-haired scary-looking man was calling people "pencil neck geeks". We stopped and watched. That white-haired scary-looking man was Freddie Blassie (the greatest heel of all time). We watched week after week hoping somebody, anybody, would beat him up and make him stop cheating! Ah, to be a child and a wrestling fan in the 60's was great!

    Freddie Blassie got me hooked on pro wrestling in 1967 and I've been fan ever since.

  • I've been watching wrestling for 21 years. My dad used to watch it with me when I was an infant. My first favorite wrestler was Hulk Hogan. I've just always watched wrestling and can't imagine not watching it.
