Two verses from the Bible alone proves that the BOM's is nothing but a lie:

"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." 2 Peter 1:20-21

"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." Galatians 1:6-9

previous testomony New testomony yet another testomony The e book of Mormon settles each question Christianity is divided on - to illustrate: The function of baptism. Who does it. How. what's to be pronounced. who's to be baptized. while are they meant to be baptized. the relationship of Jesus to God and the Holy Ghost interior the Godhead the relationship between faith, works, mercy, grace, justice, repentance Covenants relating to the domicile of israel interior the final days How the sacrament/eucharist/communion is to be administered - how, by utilizing who, while, what's to be pronounced - issues that have been lost for hundreds of years with the dying of the apostles - and that are hinted interior the bible, yet are not replied therein. Its translation of the e book of Isaiah differs from the bible, yet is the same because of the fact the ineffective Sea Scrolls translations of a similar. It makes generic the covenants of God concerning Christianity on the american Continent, or the covenants relating to the land its self, as nicely as contains prophesies relating to the american Revolution, the invention of the Americas, the Savior's start, and the build up of the Lord's Kingdom interior the final days, and assorted warnings relating to the corruptions of governments earlier the 2d Coming of Jesus Christ - it rather is an magnificent e book! This and lots of extra issues are what are interior the e book of Mormon: yet another testomony of Jesus Christ. that is why the e book is so useful to Christianity.

I have never read the book of mormon and do not intend to.

Each cult has its own bible. It may be a book that is added to the Bible or it may be a book that substitutes for the Bible. In either case, the replacement book is a false source for truth. God said about His Book, the Bible, "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Revelation 22:18 & 19. The Bible stands alone as God’s Word, and needs no additional book to explain or complete it.

The God of the Cults is created with the attributes that suit the teaching of each cult and will always resemble the personality of the cult leader. In the beginning, God created man, and the cults keep trying to return that favor by creating a god of their own.

Edit odd duck I will have a guess how you know and who told you that the book of mormon is true and it sure was not the God of the Bible because we have been warned about adding to the Bible. So who else can it be if not God of the Bible so I will have to say it is the devil who was a liar from the beginning and still deceives many people with many lies and many are decieved.

A nyone who asks God will receive answers as to it's divinity

    L iving prophets are OK!

M en do not understand God's ways

I believe in the Book of Mormon

G od spoke to Joseph Smith face to face

H eavenly messengers attended to Joseph

T ruth is easily found when looking in the right place!

Y ou should ask God what is true

G o and read the Book of Mormon

    O ye of little faith!

D o as the Savior would have you, ask in His name if it is true

....just a little FYI - Satan cannot be "pro" anything that has to do with Christ... and the Book of Mormon CLEARLY speaks of, preaches of, and teaches of Christ. Whether you believe the Book is true or not, it cannot even come close to being from Satan because of what is contained in it. you obviously don't know much about the bible either.

Hmm.. I wonder what spirit you are using to write this. It couldn't be of God because God does not stir up the hearts of man to contention.

I'm sorry you feel the need to tear down others to try and make yourself feel better about what you believe. I'm sure Christ is pretty unhappy right now with the way people are treating others. I think one of Christ's main points was to love our neighbor, as well as our fellow man. Gee.. I think that commandment is being broken by more than a few people.

You have a right to believe as you do, and so do I. I believe the Book of Mormon is inspired, and is most certainly God's word. How do I know this? I asked the only "person" who could tell me for sure. Bet you can't guess who that is. The answer I got was beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is true, and that it can bring anyone who reads it closer to God and Christ.

You are the expert on Satan. I just know it fulfills Biblical prophecy.

Rev. 10: 9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

10 And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

Crazy me- I asked the source of all truth....

    He said it was true.

Question- with all the translations through which the Bible has traveled, from the original (what language did Moses speak/write, anyway?) how inspired were those translators? Were they prophets?

From reformed Egyptian to English, how inspired was that translator? Was he a prophet?

I've learned a foreign language, and I know that translating can be tricky at best. With the precision of meaning that scriptures need, unless the translators of the Bible were inspired (prophets?), then what we have today would have to be called flawed, at best.

Source(s): Sometime, read James (the Savior's brother?) 1:5,6... Ask God in faith. Then read Moroni 10:3-5.. Fancy that- it says the same thing- Ask God in faith. Please note that throughout the Bible, God commands His children to pray to Him in all things.

As a Christian, I personally think the Book of Mormon is a fantasy that directly conflicts with the Bible. However, I avoid these types of arguments about religious documents, because whether it's the Bible, Q'uran, Tor an, Book of Mormon, etc, any skeptic can apply logic to find inconsistencies, contradictions and unexplainable text in all of them.
