He is referring to the entire body of all who believe in Christ. The Roman Catholic Church wasn't around when he was on earth.

Jesus didn't know from nothing about the "roman" catholic church. That was three hundred years, and several thousand miles down the road. The "church" would be all those who share and believe his teachings. The Christian Church was doing so well in Rome that the Emperor decided it was better to join them than fight them and superimposed the religion on those already present. That is how the Holy Roman Catholic Church came into existence.

I hope to god that Jesus wasn't around when the Catholic Church was....I mean Jesus' death sprouted the Catholic Church. Who is religious here? Or who pretends to be religious? Who needs to understand the basic concepts of ANCIENT religions more before they make themselves up to be a church master.
Oh, it is Christ's church...his disciples emerged with these teachings after Jesus' death. So everyone else's Christian religion is a mock faith that was created because someone a long, long, time ago (before things such as microscopes, fossils, Hubble Telescope, and the internet) didn't like what they were told to follow EXACTLY. So atheist today are the final step in humanity: breaking the chains of people's old ideas and embracing the truth of today.

The reference is to all believers in Christ who have received a valid Baptism.
This includes all Catholic Christians.
This includes all non-Catholic Christians who have received a valid Baptism.
It does NOT include non-Catholic Christians who have NOT received a valid Baptism.
A valid Baptism is that which is adminstered with the Triune formula. That is, Baptized "in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit".

It is of course not the Roman church.
And the entire body of all who believe in Christ AND obey His Father is the true Church.
The Roman Catholic Church is not a part of Christ's true Church.
The true followers of Christ adhere to the teachings left by Him to the Apostles.
The Apostles never:
* worshiped or prayed to the dead; Mary or any dead Saint
~Mary is dead. There is only One Resurrected, Jesus.~
* honored Christ's Birth with the rituals of trees and the birth date of the Sun.
* honored Christ's Death and Resurrection with the rituals of a goddess that God forbid His people to even to say the name of.
* bowed to images and idols.
* changed the Almighty's Holy Ten Commandments to fit into their doctrine.
* bestowed any honors to a mere man called the Pope - they would have considered this a blasphemy against God.
(One of the main reasons the Jews called for Christ's death was because people were worshiping Him and they considered that a blasphemy - worthy of death.)
These and many more abominations are the work of Satan's church not Christ's Church.
Christ never did anything without giving God the Glory and credit for something happening. He would never go against something His Father said, not even when He wanted the cup of agony taken from Him, He said; "Let your will be done."
Christ's Church has never slaughtered thousands because they did not believe in what was being taught.
Christ's Church was told to shake the dust off its sandals and move on when someone did not want to believe.

The Bible teaches us to 'test' or examine all things brought to us, so that we can know if it comes from God or Satan.
When Satan was thrown down to earth with 1/3 of the stars, he came down with a blanket of deception to trick the whole world into believing a lie -- the Roman church perpetuates that lie.
We must take hold to what is given to us for our knowledge and protection, the Holy Bible teaches us what is true and what is false.
For those that don’t believe the statements I’ve made, I say to you that I can back it up with scripture, can any Roman Catholic do the same?
May God Bless You!

The Catholic Church is actually the "great whore of Babylon."
The Church are the true body of believers, those who have received Christ and live in God's will.

The Church is just that, the body of Christ. Paul says we're all members of the body of Christ who believe in Christ Jesus. The RCC can't claim that it's only them. :)

that is quite sparkling which you don't comprehend the doctrine of papal infallibility. The doctrine of infallibility has not something to do with the brainpower, instinct, ethical fibre, or maybe the religion of the Pope. Papal infallibility is concerning the place of work of the papacy, not the guy of the pope. that's the theory of God protecting the church he began to be certain that the doctrines it teaches are actual. to respond to your particular questions. "Please concentration your answer on that question. On why that is ---not--- plausible." because of the fact Jesus promised Peter it does not happen while he mentioned "..you're Peter and upon this rock i visit construct my Church; and the gates of hell shall not be triumphant against it." (Mat sixteen:19). And as you mentioned, the Bible is the inspired comprehend God. Jesus is God and so is able to protecting His church from fake teachings. And Jesus might save His promise to us. Is the Pope and the Catholic church infallible? The Holy Spirit protects the Church to be certain that that is doctrines are actual. Does the Pope (or his predecessors) not have loose will to choose directly to not settle for God’s will? The pope (and his predecessors) do have loose will. in certainty there have been an few fantastically sinful men as popes interior the previous who regrettably chosen to not settle for God's will. in spite of the shown fact that, none of them used made any infallible declarations. lower back, the assumption of infallibility isn't approximately persons yet on the Holy Spirit protecting God's church. purely because of the fact somebody would not agree including your guy or woman, fallible interpretation of the Bible would not advise they don't persist with the Bible. that is exciting which you rant against the pope and then somewhat set your self up as your guy or woman inner maximum pope thinking that because of the fact Catholics do not accept as true with then you definitely they don't persist with the bible. How do you already know that devil isn't deceiving you?

the "church" is all who believe and accept God as who He is and accept Jesus as His son.
There was no "catholic church"then. Matter of fact, there were no actual churches then. People met in one another's homes or in abandond pagan temples.
The catholic church did not come along until much later.
