Does animal flatulence cause damage to the atmospheric ozone layer?

Is it true that cow, sheep, and termite flatulence does more damage to the ozone layer than fluorocarbons? How much damage do human farts do?

My boyfriend and I were talking about it, and he told me that cows give off methane.(The actual number is insane. It ends up being a WHOLE WHOLE LOT!.. more than what you would think!!)And of course methane gas as we know depletes the ozone... hope this helped!! let me know.. would ya will? Have a good one!! :)

Ohh.. as far as the HUMAN farts.. that depends on who you ask... Most women you ask will tell you that a man's ( or their child's) toot should be considered dangerous to the ozone layer too!!

And finally.. Pinkyjones... I feel your pian....lol

The ozone damage is not the sole contributor to the global climate shift we're seeing as of recently. The main contributor is really the carbon emissions from vehicles and power generation facilities. The holes in the ozone layer merely let more infrared radiation from the sun into the earth where the the CO2 and CO that we've released into the atmosphere trap this heat from being released out of the earth. To answer your second point, Studies have shown that although Earth has had some climate shifts, the recent acceleration of this climatic shift is unlike anything we've seen before and so clearly the more rapid pace is the result of human actions.
