Should I call after I submit an online application?

Should I call the company a few days after I submit an online application to see if it's been reviewed yet? How exactly do online applications work?

I think you should wait at least five-seven business days. That give the HR rep. plenty of time to review the resumes at hand. (I worked in HR as well). Also, when you call, just be sure to let them know how interested you are in working with the company and also let them know how soon you will be available to work (thats something that is always good to know.

Once you submit your resume/application online, what the HR consultants do is 'prescreen' them. Glance through to see if you have the 'minimum requirements' for the job. A good way to make sure that you do is to try and find the keywords in the desciption and make sure you have them in your resume/applicaiton.

I work in Human Resources and you should call 2-4 days after submitting the application. If you call too soon they might not have had time to review it yet.

Sure! Call a couple of days after you submit your application - just call & ask for HR.

    Good luck!

You need not call them. If your application is appropriately suitable for their requirements, then they will definitely intimate you.
