Lexus LS400 Alternator Light on No Power Steering?
Today while I was idling in a drive through line, my LS400 (95) battery light came on and I noticed I had no power steering. My husband is out of town on business so I am assuming it is not safe to drive (although I was able to limp it home) and am taking the other car. Any idea what it is and if it is safe for me to drive to the mechanic's on Monday or do I need to have it towed? The car starts, nothing is running hot, no other lights are on. Thanks in advance!

it's your belt as long as it's not running hot and you don't have to far to drive it will be okay

It the belt. If it is also the one that drives the water pump, don't drive it.
Some of the Lexus cars have a water pump that is driven by the cam belt, if your car is one of these you should be alright. But you may run out of battery before you get home.
If you have road side assistance on your policy (or through AAA) then have it towed to who ever does you car maintenance and get it fixed.
