All you need is respect?

respect is very important but it's not all you need. You need money to get things don't you? You can't spend respect to say buy a dozen of eggs! So the statement is isn't true! Also one needs to be able to trust cause without trust how can one be respected?

I believe respect is a huge base for a healthy relationship. If you don't have it, you have nothing to build upon.

However, I don't agree that if you have respect for another person you will automatically feel intimacy or have good communication. They are also important, and we have to learn how to establish them and keep them alive once they are there.

I think the main thing is MUTUAL CARE & PASSION then the rest will follow. What if a man respects u but thats all ,he doesnt have loving type passionate feelings for u?

Ppl can respect one another through morals and upbringing to watch how we speak and treat another person

I Whole heartedly believe that if a person holds themselves in high regaurds as far as respect then that will be how that person treats everyone else and if you repect someone and I mean truly repect them then yes I believe all will follow from that point....

That's the beginning. The 1st thing i need is respect, we can't go any further if you don't respect me. I need trust too, once we get into a relationsip, i need this more than respect. What about love/loyalty, hell i respect my boss, i don't love them. And damn sure not loyal to him.

Actually, while I need and bask in my husband/Master's pride in me... my accomplishments, my mothering, my submission to him and his needs etc. I do not need or WANT his respect, especially in sexual matters. However, communication, honesty, intimacy... are all terribly important.

untrue. even enemies must have an amount of respect, but that does not mean that they will just become best friends.

Respect is someone minding how you feel and ensuring that they do not interfere with your rights.
