Anyone else out there thinks it's dumb when?

You know, it really isn't that dumb a question when you consider that there are people in this section asking how old they have to be and for shops that will under the table tattoo a minor. Not to mention the ones asking about band name tattoos or the ones who insist that it is a good idea to put Vaseline on a new tattoo. In comparison the price question isn't even in the top 5 stupid questions asked here. The dumbest question is the ones where minors are trying to find at home tattoo equipment so that they can tattoo themselves or their friends.

Yeah it is dumb when people ask that. I mean it is not hard to walk into a shop and talk to an artist! It really is not hard!!! Tattoo artist are more than happy most of the time to talk to people who are interested in getting tattoo's an telling them what the rates will be. And if that person is not interested or think that it is too much then the tattoo artist will be like, okay that fine, go somewhere else then.

Just grow some balls and go into a shop. The only way you can know anything for certain when it comes to tattoo costs is to go to a shop and talk to someone who knows what the tattoo's will cost.

I agree. Everyone's skills, and prices are different. Most people want to price shop. I have stated several times today "good work is not cheap, and cheap work is not good". Each piece is different. Everyone needs to research their artist or piercer before having ANYTHING done. Not just to be sure they do a wonderful job, but there are sterilization issues as well. They need to step into the shop to actually do the smartest shopping. That is where ALL questions are normally answered. It's been a long day, and I don't have to work again till Tuesday. I don't care either. LOL! Have a good rest of your weekend out there!

I feel the same way about "Does it hurt to get a tattoo?" Sad thing is I still answer both questions once in a while....lol

I feel the same way. but what can you do? People would rather sit in front of their computer and have all their problems solved rather than going out into the world and trying to find their own way like the rest of us.

Alas and alack. I still feel slightly inclined to help at least the smart ones. =)

The one thing that really sh*ts me is when they ask how much it would be, but don't say where they are from.

One person may say it's this much is pounds & someone else may say something totally different in US dollars.

& like someone above said they hate seeing "where hurts the most?". look back at other questions & you'll know.

A question asking that is asked every few hours.

I think it's pretty dumb. People think because I have tattoos that I know how much every artist will decide to charge...

no.. its a site for people to ask questions, i've asked that question because i didnt want to spend all my bday money on clothes and have none left over, just an estimate, i ended up asking and the one i was gonna get was about 80 dollars

yes that is soo annoying. just get the tat if you really want it.
