Physics egg drop with only parachute?
I have the parachute already built, I was just wondering if I should use yarn or thread coming from the parachute to the egg.
Oh, btw, the landing half of the egg has to be exposed. That's the hard part, lol.

It depends on whether you want the egg to break or not; yarn would make more cushioning for the egg when it lands

ooooh, i remember doing a project like this where we had to make the parachute for our egg, and we had to make it so it would not break, and we were given an X amount of supplies, it was tough but my team did great. If you have the parachute made, then try to make it like a hot air balloon.
The thread or strings may not be strong enough to stay latched onto the egg, so instead form a basket to carry the egg and attach the chute to it. The small basket can carry the egg, give off equal weight to the string if you use thread to attach it or even better yet paper wrapped in tape makes a great form of strength to hold the egg.

an organization foam around the egg - with a softer foam outdoors of that - and nonetheless softer further outdoors - provides you the merely right outcome. make confident the inner foam it truly is in contact with the egg is formed properly like the egg - no longer putting more desirable stress on each person area of the egg.
