Why does the UFC keep running into trouble with it's big named fighters? Is the trouble Dana White?
The UfC and Dana White specifically are having a conflict with Tito mostly over money. Tito may seem like a bit of a punk but let's not forget that the UFC has the same issue about money with Randy. Once again Randy states Dana as a big part of the problem. No boby has anything bad to say about Randy Couture.
The UFC is more popular than ever and by extension more profitable. I like to think that they are taking good care of their fighters. How would we know? It sure seems like they could come to a reasonable agreement with one of their champion/Hall of famers without sueing him.
I love MMA and sure hope that the UFC isn't showing signs of greed.

I can't help but wonder if the problem isn't Dana as well. As you said, Randy is probably one of the most respected fighters in the UFC and while Tito is extremely cocky, arragant, take your pick at the many words you could use to describe him, he is also ENTERTAINING and when watching the Ultimate Fighter I did notice that he was a hell of a coach as well as person when it really came down to it. It's a shame.
On the flip side, rumor has it that Tito made around $700,000 last year and only had one fight. So I would have to say that yes, that is a pretty penny for one show, ya know?

Dana is one of the shrewdest businessmen out there. He knows that entertaining fights are what sells seats and PPV buys - not necessarily big names (think Tank Abbot or Royce Gracie). Dana has great matchmakers that put together fights for him, and every fighter on the planet wants to be in the UFC. So the UFC has the upper hand in contract negotiations with fighters. Dana and Zuffa are making contract offers based on what a fighter is worth in ticket sales - period.
There's a lot of cash flowing around the fighters, and they are getting greedy. Look at the endorsements, guest appearances, movie cameos, and "sports wear" that these guys are hawking...the good fighters get big money endorsing crap. If Tito wants more money, great! Let him earn it by selling ugly T-Shirts or condoms. But I think he's being paid what he's worth by the UFC.

Because some big name fighter can get more money from other less profitable organizations. With the UFC making more money than ever why change? The UFC tends to build up less talented fighters and down play the significants of fighters that leave the UFC or won't sign.

Dana is probably right about Tito but the UFC should definitely take care Randy. Suing him is a bunch of crap!

UFC isnt being greedy. There being realistic on there investments. Just like the nfl and baseball they cant pay every guy big money who wants it. Look what happened to cro cop they payed him 500k a fight and he went 1-2 with not so entertaining of fights. If they were to hand out million dollar pay days to all these big names ufc would go belly up. They dont make the money that the nfl does and baseball, boxing. Thoose sports have been around 100 years and just barley started tossing that kind of money around. Plus these mma guys gets all sorts of money we dont know about from endorsements to back room bonuses to cuts of the ppv buys.

Its the fighters that are getting greedy! Dana White made the UFC into what it is today! Do you think that he wants to lose his meal ticket? The UFC is here to stay! End of story!

ha ha ha. people like you make me laugh. mma is the fastest growing sport in the world. its still one of the smallest. get it. its new so it is going to grow fast because its a baby in the industry. boxing out sells the ufc almost 100 to 1 in tickets and in pay-per view. its a great sport but it needs almost 50 to 70 years to truly reach its potential. then fighters will be paid what they deserve. in the 70's pro football players had full time jobs.

Dana White and his ego will eventually bring about the demise of the UFC. He is letting too many of his older, well known stars get away because of personal disputes.
