Where all do orange trees grow?

I recently took a trip down to southern California and we went to California Adventure (theme park) and there was a grove of orange trees. The flowers have a beautiful scent, my newly elected favorite xD

But I was just wondering if they grow elsewhere besides southern California area, that is, I live on the Oregon coast, and I didn't think that orange trees had the capacity to grow here, but anywhere nearby...? Central or Eastern Oregon maybe? Let me know. :]

South Louisiana has a few citrus groves, oranges, tangerines, satsumas. The mild winters south of New Orleans are suitable for some citrus crops. However, I don't think you'll be able to get them to grow in Oregon, due to the climate.

We have orange trees on our farm here in Australia. Our winter temperatures drop below freezing and we cover the trees during heavy frosts. They take the summer heat above 46 degrees C as long as we keep the water up them.

They grow well in large pots and tubs where they can be moved under cover during bad weather. The flowers smell wonderful and the fruit isn't half bad either :-)

Orange trees need warm climates to grow. more than likely you wont be able to grow these trees with out them dying.

i lived in florida and i know you can grow them there.i guess you could try just cover the tree in the winter months if you loved them that much it wouldn't hurt to try like the guy in australia said they cover them in the winter months.i would put it in a pot the first year and bring it indoors the first winter.

I don't think they would do well in your garden, but they can be grown in containers - you can either leave it inside all year round, or move it out in the summer.
