Before my breakdown I did go with my friend. And also taught our children through a mormon pre school program. I thought they had a nice family ideology.
I then had a breakdown that lasted a year. (Because I got stuck in a rut & prayed for the first time in years.) I had accumulated idols in my life & the breakdown sort of brougt them to light. I needed healing. I finally found a Church where I went forward in. The first time I went forward the witch spirit left me for good. The second time I recommitted to Jesus Christ. The third time the Pastor said, "Be ready..." And the anointing came through the Pastors hand and overfilled me & I praised God with my hands reaching straight up to God & speaking in tongues praising God & being in Gods love bubble.
Going home, I was sitting on my bed edge & feeling Gods love & anointing. I stared in the closet. I pulled out a book & was led to drop it. I looked at it & it was the mormon book. I then was led to a Zion Magazine from my mother n law. I opened it & read that the anointing I received was the spirit of truth & would lead me into what the Lord has said & is truth. I was so excited. I could trust this anointing. (My breakdown consisted of a lot of lying spirits.) The Holy Spirit led me to toss the mormon book in the garbage. I did. And I slept soundly for the first time in a year. This was the real healing from the breakdown (that was a total breakdown, physical, mental, emotional, & spiritual).
Of course telling this to my mormon friend ended up her hurting my feelings much. It was a wound that ended up being a root of anxiety attacks regarding mormon doctrine.
The Lord gave me a dream where I went on a hike with her, & the verses from Revelation to the 7 Churches came to mind. And that is what the Lord wants me to tell mormons. How Jesus hates those other doctrines coming into His Church.
So? I won't be a Mormon, because they don't have the same Holy Spirit of the biblical Gospel. And the Holy Spirit of the Bible will spank me even if I have the book in my house.
My Church is http://www.riveroflifefellowship.org/ & right now God is sending the latter rain. Gods spirit is being poured out doing healings, etc... in Lakeland Florida & is spreading from there globally.
Check out http://www.sidroth.org/ & there is a link to it. I watched it for the first time last night.
Jesus is coming back soon! Be ready~with your oil lamps full!

My father's family was RLDS (Reformed Church of Latter Day Saints), but we were not active in it. I only remember attending the church only once. A cousin of ours (on my father's side, btw) came to our house every Sunday asking us if we wanted to go to Sunday School at the Baptist Church she attended. So, I guess you could say we grew up Baptist.
But when the Lord touched me and I had to decide I chose Baptist. The more I study the Word of God the more I believe the Baptist church adheres to that Word.

Because I don't believe in god. Also, because you'd be hard pressed to find an LDS church in England.

Brought up in assemblies of god church. Why did you chose the LDS church over other religious affiliations?

I am an ex-mormon because in my patriarticle blessing, which was not a blessing, the mormon God was very rude to me, and he already knew I was depressed and made me even more depressed by being a meany and then I started to disagree with the theology, never mind the tanners that were in town, they had nothing to do with it, it was the mormon God that started me out fo the mormon church.

If anyone adds to the word of this book...
Joseph smith id a lot of adding, infact added a whole new book
Galatians 1: 8
talks about meeting angels and receivnig new gosepls from them
jospeh smth calim to have met the angel moroni and received a gospel from him
Genesis chapter 3:
the serpent tells adam and eve that if they eat of the forbbiden treee that thety wil not die but become gods themslves
mormons belelive they wil become gods themselves
Joseph smith said you hav to practice poligmy to reach heaven
morden day mormons reject this teaching seperating themsleves from flds mormons
so if it's no longer necessary, then was it ever necessary
if smith was wrong about this, then he is wrong about everything else

I am just not.
I believe differently than you.
and I dont think there is anything wrong with that.
We all have different views on religion and I wish people would quit asking questions like that. It's not of anyones business people should be able to believe what they want and not had to feel like they are being judged by questions like that.
