breastfed, teething 4.5 mo. old losing weight?

On May 6, i took my dd to the doctor, she weighed 13 lbs. 11oz. Today, I weighed her at home, and she weighed 13lbs. 6 oz. (different scales used for the weighing, but i would have expected her to weigh at least what she did at her doctor visit 2 weeks ago).

lately, she has been upset whenever I feed her, acting like it's painful. she hasn't been eating as well as normal, and my letdown is slowing down(it used to be fast). but she gets so frustrated while she's eating, it worries me, since she is losing weight. i have tried pumping, and i get about 5 oz from each breast, so i don't think its a supply problem if i can get that from pumping. she has about 2 poopy diapers, and 9-10 wet diapers a day. so, i feel i shouldn't worry, because she has good 'out-put', but i can't help think that something else might be wrong. my oldest dd had an internal hemanginoma(mass of blood vessels) on her liver, the doctor said it wasn't genetic, but it worries me that something could be causing this.

Speak to the pediatrician about this and see what he/she says. If your baby is having pain when she's feeding, it may be some other conditions that she's experience & just can't communicate to you.

I wouldn't worry just yet. Its only 5oz. and she could have just gotten a little longer which will tip the scales slightly. Also, if her output is fine then she is getting enough to eat. If you are really worried, she is old enough to start introducing cereal. Just take it slow. If it is a digestive problem, you don't want to aggravate it further. One thing I've learned is that moms know their babies better than any doctor, so if you really feel like something could be wrong, stress it with the doctor and make them run tests. Don't let them give you the runaround. Its better to be safe than sorry I always say.

you're genuine all scales weigh in a distinctive way. do no longer subject approximately oz..s basically lbs. your little you may desire to be teething, it starts off around 4 months previous, yet you will possibly no longer see a teeth till 6 months. my infant's basically decrease than 5 months previous, and he's doing the comparable element. it somewhat is well-known, so his pediatrician says. My infant's nutrition habitual will strengthen and reduces each and every day. eating 20 oz..'s in one day and then 35 oz..'s in yet another. as long as your infant is providing you with a minimum of one poopy diaper ever 3 days or so, and is urinating in many situations every day you desire no longer subject too lots, i be attentive to thats much less difficult suggested then achieved. i'm a known time mom and subject approximately each and every hiccup. my son now weighs sixteen.5 lbs, taken from a "Jenny Crieg" scale my neighbor has-yet i nonetheless subject approximately his sleep behavior and feeding behavior, i be attentive to the way you experience. call your wellness practitioner if the burden keeps to drop after a million week thats what our wellness practitioner instructed us. good success.

Have her checked out if it keeps up. You can never be to cautious as you can never really know what the baby is fussing about yourself.

Baby might be teething, and maybe breast milk isn't filling the baby up.

If you are worried then call her pediatrician. It's better to call over nothing than not to call over something.
