Can some one help, I am confusing myself?

I asked a question yesterday and got mature responses. I would appreciate the same again. On April 30th I had a U/S and it said that I was 13 weeks and 6 days, but my doctor is going by my LMP 13 weeks and 3 days which will make my EDD Nov.2nd. So my question is IF it is true and U/S was correct at dating me 13 weeks and 6 days did I or not get pregnant right before I had my full blown normal cycle on Jan.26th? I am really confusing myself. It is not a difference to some but it is to me. Can anyone explain? I will very much appreciate your kindness and good -luck to my pregnant ladies!

My baby's father's birthday is Nov.2nd. This is why it is important to me.

I am pregnant with my third and with all of them the LMP date didn't match the U/s dating, it has usually been off by about 4 days each time, but the doctor never changed the EDD to match the U/s. It was always kept it the same, going off of the LMP. It would be neat for them to have the same birthday, just keep in mind relatively few babies are born on their due date and first babies are notorious for being overdue.

First of all if you had a cycle in Jan you are more than 13 weeks. Its not possible for you to only be 13 weeks with a EDD of Nov 2. I am 15 wks and 6 days and my baby is due Nov 7. Which makes you in fact 16 weeks and some days:

Based on a last menstrual period of January 26, 2008:

Your due date is November 01, 2008.

Your baby was conceived around February 09, 2008.

Your first trimester begins January 26, 2008.

Your second trimester begins April 20, 2008.

Your third trimester begins August 03, 2008.

There are 164 days left until your due date.

You are 16 weeks and 4 days pregnant. Your baby's crown to rump length is approximately 11 or 12 cm or 5 inches and weighs about 100-150 grams or 3.5-5.3 ounces. To learn more about what is going on during your pregnancy check out our pregnancy calendar.

I wouldn't necessarily go by the U/S only because it can't be 100%. I had 2 children and the U/S with the first showed my baby due on the 31 but my LMP would have made him due on the 15th...I ran out of Fluid on the 20 and they induced me. And my last baby I was due on the 14 but the U/S showed that at the growth rate the baby would have been due later as well...The only thing is I just happen to have small babies and the U/S goes by the average person.

  • I'm not sure!

So do you want baby and the dad to have the same birthday? It sure would be cool, but babies very seldom come on their due date. Most likely, if your due date WAS November 2nd, you'd only have a teeny-tiny chance the baby would be born on THAT day!

My third son's due date was 7/7/07...I SO BADLY wanted him born on that day, but he was born on 6/29 :(

Either way, 3 days difference is not going to make a difference when you deliver. Only 5% of babies are born on their due date.

oh that is sweet...I usually just go by the LMP date. they may try and change your dates again when you have your second u/s....stick to the LMP is my motto and it is usually right.

I'm sorry hunnie, I don't know the answer, but how ironic and amazing would it be for them to have the same birthday??

Meat is animal flesh that is used as food. Most often, this means the skeletal muscle and associated fat and other tissues.

  • It should go by the U/S
