Opinions on thank you poem for teacher?
Hey guys,
I'm graduating this year so I thought I'd write a poem for my teachers...opinions appreciated :P thanks...
To My Teacher
Like a leaf, trembling and unsure
I have dangled from my tree too long
Looking to the horizon, watching,
Wondering, questioning as the sun set
On every day, taking with it a
Missed adventure
But you, my dear teacher, have
Unleashed me, released me from
My stubborn clutch on my branch
And like a gentle breeze, carried me off
To lands far away
Until finally, I landed on a soft hill
Lighted with the day's hopeful rays
And decided to start my own life
Somewhere different, Somewhere new
And though, now,
I have undertaken this new journey on my own
I will always remember my initiation,
My beginning,
And forever recall that Chapter One begins with
my teacher.

You need a little more punctuation, i.e. put a comma after the second line and a period after adventure. A sentence is still a sentence even in a poem. Also the second to the last line should be "began" not "begins". Other than those suggestions, it is a very good poem.

This is excellant
if I was your teacher you
would have gotten an A+
Teacher poem
Teachers they work hard
making sure you learn what you need to
trying to teach students right from wrong
Always busy with my homework long hours
of correcting,
Chapter 1 may start with the teacher
but even after you graduate you will still be learning.
Listening to my problems over the years.

Your teacher could be anyone..... mother, father, sister, brother, pastor, boyfriend/girlfriend, coach, etc...
