Institute of Children's Lit-?

Is this a real institute or some scam?

I've been offered a position there and want to know what I'm getting into.

Any info? Best Answer points to anyone who can give me accurate info!

Thanx!

I took a correspondence class in Writing for Children from the Institute of Children's Lit, part of the Long Ridge Writers Group, about 15 years ago. This was before Internet classes were around so everything was typed and mailed. I received what I paid for, a course in writing with critiques of my work from a children's author. I got busy raising my family and have not pursued writing seriously since then but I intend to get back to it one of these days. As far as I could tell, there was no scam here. I still get occasional solicitations to take a class or buy a market guidebook.

This is my personal experience with the Institute.
