Why has McCain now recanting the endorsement of Hagee???
I find this interesting.. !!!!!!!!
McCain says he now cannot accept the endorsement because of Hagee's said some very offensive statements about Isrealites and the holocaust.. WOW.. McCain says he didn't know about these sermons....Does this sound familiar.....???
no Hagee apologized.. but continued to accept the endorsement.. TODAY MCcain recanted the endorsement.. turn on your tv...
I didn't see your question before I stated mine and only thought afterwards it was interesting that we both asked the same question..

You're right. He just issued an official statement denouncing Hagee. It's breaking news, people...this should have been done in Feb.

This is more typical "gotcha" politics. Is any of this really important when electing a president? We have wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, millions of people without health insurance, an unfair tax system, a veterans administration that needs revamping, etc. and people argue over Obamas pastor or an endorsement from some nut for McCain. Let's get back to discussing the important things that will affect this country for many years into the future rather than the trivial like Hagee's endorsement. We'll all be better off for it.

I didn't know McCain's mentor was Hagee. News to me. I didn't know he followed Hagee around and listened to him for 20 years. I didn't know that Hagee, McCain and Farrakhan were featured on a church pamphlet together. But I do know McCain renounced him awhile ago. Where have you been?

I would not have. He has nothing to apologize for. But I guess he can say it, if thats what people want to hear, Ha! Ha! Like Hagee is still not going to endorse McCain.

He basically did it to save his reputation. He would've rejected him back in March when he endorsed him. But as people keep discovering more of Hagee's controversial statements he had to publicly denounce him to avoid offending people.

Why do people come here to give election news. I thought this was a discussion forum. I basically asked this same question before you (I might add) and the above statement was your answer to my question. You find it interesting when you ask it and you found it not interesting when I asked it. Isn't that a bit hypocritical?

Interesting indeed!
Any news about him recanting his other "spiritual adviser" Rod Parsley too?

I don't know, but I wonder if they will make a big deal out of it, as they did with the Obama - Wright situation....Probably not.
I'm sure they will find some reason to justify it...And I doubt if they will start calling McCain an anti-Christ.
The racism is just too much!

Give it up....McCain did NOT have Hagee as his friend, mentor & Pastor for over 20 long years as Obama DID with Wright NOR did McCain have Hagee marry him & baptize all of his children as Obama DID with Wright NOR did McCain hire Hagee as part of his campaign as Obama DID with Wright.
