Can anyone explain how Mike Tomlin got NO votes from the AP writers?
2nd seed in the AFC but got no votes?
7 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoCan you believe Belichick won AP Coach of the Year?
And Mike Tomlin didn't even get a vote?
15 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoHow did the Browns get 2 prime-time games this season?
C'mon really?!!
They play 2 division games on prime-time (Steelers and Ravens). I realize that the schedule is made ahead of time.
But, based on their offseason moves, how could anyone THINK they'd be good enough to justify TWO (let alone ONE) prime-time game.
Thoughts?

Just curious.

2 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoSince the Bungals dominated NE in a meaningless preseason game, does that mean they're SB bound?
Since NE is considered one of the top teams in the league and the Bungals dominated them last night, does that mean that they're now serious SB contenders?
12 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoDoes Favre's un-retirement remind you of what Jim Brown almost did?
For those too young to know, Jim Brown retired with plenty of gas in the tank. He retired as the NFLs leading rusher at that time.
Years later, Franco Harris was on the verge of breaking his record. So, an aging, well past his prime Jim Brown threatened to un-retire just to keep Franco from taking his record.
So, does Favre sort of remind you of what Jim Brown almost did?
6 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoShould Brad Childress start updating his resume right now...?
...instead of waiting until he gets fired after this season?
And, has the 'hot seat' just got even hotter with the signing of Favre?
6 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoWhy do Vikings fans feel that Brett Favre is the 'answer'?
Favre STILL isn't 100% and the 2009 version is not the same as the 1999 version. Lets face it, Favre's best days are behind him.
Granted Favre may be the best QB the Vikes have right now but why do they feel he's the 'answer'?
17 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoPacker fans - I guess you would've been happy if GB did the same thing as the Cardinals?
Arizona spent a #1 pick on Matt Leinart. Kurt Warner came in and sat the kid down. Now Leinart is making #1 pick money to hold Warner's jock.
So, Packers fans, would you have been happier to see Rodgers rot away to nothing (like Leinart) just to keep Favre in a Packer uniform?
7 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoPackers fans - How long was Aaron Rodgers supposed to sit on the bench?
I mean really.
GB drafted Rodgers in the 1st round to be the QB of the future. He sat behind Favre for 3 seasons making #1 pick money. Eventually, for salary reasons, Rodgers had to either play or be released. The Packers chose to cut ties with Favre in favor of Rodgers.
So, Packers fans, was GB supposed to keep Favre and let Rodgers continue holding the clipboard forever?
9 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoDo you think we would've had these town hall meetings about Iraq if we had been in a recession back then?
This is a piggy back to my previous question.
To me, that seems to be the main difference between people lashing out about healthcare reform and the Iraq war....no recession.
At least with healthcare reform we'll get something for the money we spend. What has the money spent in Iraq done for us (except accrue debt)? What do we have to show for it?
So, do you think we would've had these town hall meetings about Iraq if we had been in a recession back then? Or would we continue to spend money for a worthless war without saying a peep?
5 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy do some people insist that Obama's Town Hall meeting was 'fake',couldn't one say the same about McCain's?
Seriously, if we're accusing one of being 'fake' or 'staged' why can't they both be?
15 AnswersElections1 decade agoThe Taiwanese President took the blame for the slow aid response after the typhoon, why didn't Bush..?
..do the same for Katrina victims?
The Taiwanese President immediately stood up like a MAN when asked about the slow response time after the typhoon. He said (paraphrasing) that he is the President and takes full blame for the incident.
So, why couldn't "W" man up about Katrina like this guy did?
6 AnswersElections1 decade agoWill Cheney give any tips for hunting with friends in his upcoming memoirs?

10 AnswersElections1 decade agoDoes anyone have proof that the Obama Town Hall meeting participants were pre-screened?
So, I guess one could use the same 'logic' for the McCain/Palin Town Hall meetings too?
Can't have it both ways.
24 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy do people use town hall meetings to carry out their hatred of our President instead of...?
..what it was intended?
Town Hall meetings, I thought, were to discuss concerns/views on certain topics to the politicians in their area. Instead, these meetings are being used to degrade/defame the current administration. Nothing is being discussed, just lots of anger and hate.
Why are people using these venues for avenues for which they aren't intended?
19 AnswersElections1 decade agoSeriously, does anyone really care what Cheney has to say at this point?
IMO, the time for him to 'speak up' would've been while he was in office.
Anything he has to say now is moot.
Anyone else tired of Cheney too?
11 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy was the tone so calm at the town hall meeting attended by President Obama?
And, why couldn't it be like this at all the town hall meetings?
I watched lots of footage from several of the town hall meetings and was disgusted by the behavior shown. Lots of people had to be physically removed from them because of how they were acting.
I understand being passionate about an issue. But, why all the violent and belligerent behavior?
Then, they showed the town hall meeting where President Obama attended. The subject was the same but the tone was so much better.
No screaming, no altercations...nothing but healthy, civil discussion.
So, why can't people behave the same way WITHOUT the President in attendance?
Thoughts?
18 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy are these Republican 'town hall meetings' and 'tea parties' so violent?
I understand the displeasure but why can't people express themselves without being so abrasive and violent?
20 AnswersElections1 decade agoIs it me or does the injury bug seem to bite the Bengals more than any other team in the NFL?
I live in Cincy and I just read that they've already lost a LB and a TE for the season. Plus, there are quite a few other guys banged up too.
So, why are these guys getting hurt so much? Poor conditioning? Bad attitudes?
Thoughts?
