Can you believe Belichick won AP Coach of the Year?

And Mike Tomlin didn't even get a vote?

Yes, I'm pretty sure it is based off regular season, not playoffs and in the regular season the Patriots were head and shoulders above everyone else.

  • It's kind of funny when both coaches that got their team to the Super Bowl don't get a vote. Especially since Tomlin went 3-1 his first four games without Roethlisberger, and half of McCarthy's team was on IR.

I was gonna say something mean cause I hate the Steelers. But I like Mike Tomlin, so I won't

The Pats won 14 games with a bunch of first and second year starters, Tomlin is essentially on a team Bill Cowher built and Dick Lebeau continues to run.

  • They vote before the playoffs, so all the Pete Carrol arguments are invalid. Belichick deserved it. He traded away their best player (aside from Brady) and got a lot of heat for it, but it turned out he made a smart decision. He traded for a player in Deion Branch who everyone thought was too old, and that was a smart decision too.

Sometimes I think the writers must believe that if they keep giving Belichick awards he might be nice to them some day. They're wrong of course. He'll never be nice to them no matter how often they vote for him...

The votes were in before the playoffs started.

Well i have to agree with this one, theother award i don't agree with. But Bilichick is a smart coach, when they lost Moss, they got another WR in and he produced pretty good stats.

he did good but tomlin is just as good and he got his team to the superbowl for the 2nd time in three years. ANGER!!!!!! MIKE SHOULD HAVE WON HANDS DOWN.

FIXED! That award should have gone to Pete Carroll! Not every team can go 7-9, and go to the divisionals in the same year! Props go to him. Let's hope the Seahawks can do better next year!
