I think religions should surround belief structures. After all, a religion is based upon ones beliefs...or should be.

The belief structure must come first. Other wise why have a religion. The belief structure must come directly from the Bible. So, in my mind, a Bible based belief structure IS religion.

A religion surrounding a belief structure... first, I think, we have to figure out what we believe. Then, if we so desire, we can find/practice a religion to help us express and explore those beliefs.

A belief structure surrounding a solid logical way of thinking, without the blind-faith of religion.

Neither...I'm just not a structure kind of gal. My beliefs...my faith or religion if you prefer...are dynamic...constantly evolving as I learn more about God, about the world around me, and about myself.
I sure as heck don't want anyone else creating a structure for me and I've always gone out of my way to avoid structure as much as possible (my job, for example, only requires me to be in a specific place for six hours a week and even then I have a lot of freedom re: what I do during that time).
I also don't want anyone else telling me what I need to do to get closer to God...suggestions are fine but the prescriptions of a religious doctrine...no thank you. I simply find it illogical to think that what works for someone else will automatically work for me...I'm a unique individual and I believe God's plan for ME is equally unique!

The belief structure by far - the religion isn't very important to me at all. I'd much rather serve God than man.

For me the belief structure is much more important.
Religion seems to be the silly stuff that people put up with to support the philosophical structure.
One of the reasons I finally rid myself of Christianity, is because when you strip away the supernatural and religious stuff, it is a very unkind, selfish belief system that causes people who rely on it fully, to fear mankind and expect the worst for the earth and a majority of humanity.
I am now a secular Humanist because it is a more moral philosophy.

Both are dangerous if they lead to dogmatic thinking. But if you're fulfilled by either without impeding your ability to think freely then you have found something special.
