Does anybody in America really understand the education system in most European nations?

And we care why? Do you really think that the European Union has a preferable way of allowing all people to attain any thing they want to create for themselves? Why do you think so many Europeans want to emigrate to the United States?

I find Liberals use ignorance of what is going on in Europe to sway us to change. They say that Europe is more tolerant of immigrants, but News report say other wise. THey preach over Europes medical system, and I once watch a English comedy using puppets. People were dieing in the Er and the patients are trapped ther forever, and some guy walks in and the nurse found out that he had insurance. 5 doctors pop out to treat his hang nail. In England , they outsource some of the medical work to India. I know the pap smear is shipped to India.

As for your question, I think in England, you don't choose the College per say, but more of being placed. I am not a hundred percent sure, but I know it's far from what Obama stated.

I learned about the German education system while studying the language in high school, though my info is about 15 years old. Basically, college is free for anyone that is admitted. You still must apply and be accepted; not everyone is smart enough to get in. But in exchange for free education, everyone is required to volunteer for civil work, either 1 year in the military or 2 years in social services. I believe most Germans fulfilled this commit after secondary school but before college if they were accepted. I think this system is much better than the American system and would like to see us adopt it.
