Sounds like a symptom of acid reflux disease or gerd. This is fairly common.

Do a web search of Gerd and acid reflux symptoms. There are many, many sites on this subject.

One Zantac or Pepcid AC tablet taken 30 minutes before a meal can help. But, your symptoms sound more serious than my own. You should probably see a doctor.

What do you mean by sour throat? I am thinking it is reflux, that is where the acid used to digest your food escapes and moves up into your throat causing a burning feeling. Do you smoke? If so, smoking paralyzes the thingy that closes at the base of the throat and the stomach causing anything that does not agree with your stomach to come back up with the acid that is trying to break it down. They have many different pills for this sometimes the over the counter stuff works but if you insist on smoking or the OTC stuff does not work or it is cheaper for an RX they also have alot of RX medications that work really well.

I get that too whenever I cook for other people other than my husband and me. Its nerves. I also eat like a bird during dinner. Try having her take a indigestion pill a few hours before earting while she's still preparing dinner. I eat the amount a baby would eat when I cook for others because I guess nerves play into it.

  • Maybe the food's getting jammed up in her tonsils. Ask her if she coughs out little stinky things sometimes if so then take a qtip and poke at her tonsils and get the junk out and her throat should feel better.

Do you mean a sore throat? I never heard of a sour throat, only a sour stomach. She needs to see her doctor for a professional diagnosis.

Does she make her own food. If not, maybe someone is poisoning her.
