Is there some way to get those little balls off my sheets?

Figures when you buy a higher thread count sheet, they get all crappy. Is there any way to get those little balls off them? I was hoping they would come off in the wash, but no.

Update:

they are washed alone, and it's not lint, they don't come off with a lint brush. it doesn't happen in the wash, it happens when you use them.

Update 2:

actually they are 500 thread count, and this doesn't happen with my 300 count sheets

Get a sweater shaver. You can get them anywhere, even grocery stores for just a few bucks.

Try washing them alone from now on and they shouldn't pick up so much lint balls. The quickest way to get them off now, is by using a good old lint brush (costs about $2).

you didn't buy a high enough thread count.

keep your eyes open for sheet sales & try buying at least 500 egyptian cotton.

In the meantime, your pilled(balled) sheets can be smoothed off with a fabric shaver

Tell him to get gone before you wake up!

Seriously, though - try a sweater shaver.
