Philosophy, the least judgemental personal opinion, please give your opinion?

A lot of other forums on 'ask' appear to have very definite views. On this forum I have noticed that people seem to give a lot more 'thought' before giving the 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down' please explain, in your own words. why you feel that is?

Update:

Well done Vorehiggins

Update 2:

oops, Freudian slip/

Update 3:

graham, you have given a balanced opinion. The segmentation of philosophical belief and scientific fact should not be in conflidt but mutually progressive.

Philosophers are supposed to think more deeply on issues and therefore take more time examining things. They also see the gray areas and Kaleidoscope of nuances that can color issues.

    -----------------

Philosophy is about asking why. Philosophy and Science are based on continual questioning your own beliefs and being open to whatever turns up.

This is the opposite of Dogma which holds on to traditional beliefs as long as possible.

Most religions are dogmatic in nature, and encourage people to be opinionated rather than being open to other peoples ideas.

    -------------

In religion questioning accepted beliefs is often seen as a sign of lack of faith. In Science any question that can be tested experimentally is encouraged, but discourages mention of supernatural or metaphysical things (that can not be seen or tested).

Philosophers are perhaps less dogmatic than Scientists as Philosophy has no taboo areas.

Philosopher concentrating on Metaphysics such as myself should be amongst the most open minded of people.

There are some areas however that I have very strong opinions on because I have explored the topic from many sides but I am eager to find alternative ideas to explore or new questions to ask.

hi. i'd say that happiness is defined via its feeling of contentedness. Happiness is many times complete while specific circumstances, that folk traditionally locate top-rated or good, are met. Bliss is while a individual has complete a sparkling point of happiness that perpetuates itself interior that individual. Happiness may be fleeting yet bliss is meant to final awhile longer. So while persons are "following their bliss", they are getting into a chain of top-rated activities, for them, till they gain a greater lasting content or happiness. Ecstasy is the "intense" possible get from the two happiness and bliss. The ecstasy is the factor which could block out adverse recommendations and override specific logical methods jointly as contained in the state of "happiness and bliss". I have not have been given any authentic own examples different than remark and type. yet that's all in simple terms my opinion. thank you and good bye.

Here is what I know. It is neither an opinion nor a feeling.

Those not able to distinguish between a survey and a question may as well have their thumbs tucked up tightly into a body cavity.

It could be that those who observe spirituality and have a more philosophical view point show unconditional respect to others in the hopes that they will receive the same.

Perhaps when we open the doors to our souls we do so with the olive branch in hand. Just in case...........

I think it is because we are not dealing with money or salvation for the most part. It allows the mind to expand when those 2 elements are taken out.
