What age is too young for weightlifting?

I'm asking because I've heard if you start too young it stunts your growth.

A Nipo-Brazilian therapist told me that every sport press us to ground isn't good for our growing, if you're in growing fase, it's related to your case.

I'm not sure if it's true, but it seems to be rational, then I believe him.

Remember this: Everybody tries to defend his professional area, his politcial party and so on, then if you ask some weighlifting practioner, probably he'll tell you that is a lie, then I advise you to see a doctor, he is going to tell you a professional advice without passion.

Most of my friends who are guys started weight lifting at about 13/14/15 and then progressed up to much heavier weights. It depends on how tall you are, your current weight etc. I'd say about 14 average though?

You can start as young as ten, but it would need to be with maybe 1 pound weights so that the muscles are not damaged.

if your young use light weights, you dont have the testosterone to build much muscle yet anyway, its good to stay in shape though.
