why do religious people think homosexuality is a sin?

God love everyone. Even the gays, but the bible says that it is a sin. God loves Satan, even though that Satan is a evil bastard. God just hates his evilness, and so are the gay's beliefs and lifestyles. Besides, if you think about it, being gay means less babies in the world. You can't make babies with the same sex, and it is unpleasant to must people. They can adopt babies, yes. But two guys can't make babies with each other because they don't have a vagina. Two girls can't make babies because they don't have a pump with seeds. You get it? THEY DON'T MAKE BABIES. MAN, IT'S LIKE TALKING TO A WALL.

'Do not have sex with a man as you would with a woman. It is an abomination.'

'If a man has sex with a man in same way as with a woman, they have committed an abomination. They are certainly to be put to death.'

Some religions see the point of marriage is not just love, but to reproduce and continue the human race and pass on your beliefs to your children. Homosexuality, then, would bypass this goal as if it resulted in marriage, no children could be conceived.

Human sexuality is an area of considerable brokenness in our society. Sex is a good thing when practiced within the confines of the covenant of marriage. The areas where we, as humans, struggle are adultery, pre-marital sex, and homosexuality. All three of these are called "sin" in the Bible. None of them is worse than another. All sin is equal in God's eyes.

God does not hate homosexuals. God hates sin. He hates lying, stealing, murder, adultery, and, yes, acting out homosexually. The focus isn't on the label we put on someone. All of us have the same chance to accept Jesus and turn from our sins. If we accept Jesus and follow him we will go to heaven, whether homosexual or not.

not all christians believe homosexuality is a sin. From my searching i've found that is if you look into it the bible passages have been translated badly and rather than reflect the original meaning and message of love

Sin = death.

Since we are all sinners, we are all dead.

Jesus = Son of the Father and God himself.

Now Jesus was perfect and he never sinned, so he was innocent.

Now Jesus' death was all apart of God's amazing plan to save us.

Jesus died on the cross and he took all the way our sins. This was possible because Jesus had never sinned and did not deserve death, but he took the burden of all our sins. Thus why he died and we are alive through Christ.

Now since he was God, he rose back from the dead!

To accept this gift, just quietly pray to God and ask for His forgiveness and grace. Put your trust on Him. Say that you believed that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins. And give thanks. (Might want to ask a pastor to do this with you and ask any further questions.)

If you think about it, this was an amazing plan!!! So amazing that even the whole world separated B.C. from A.D due to that event! God humbled himself to become human, and personally died for us! What an amazing God we believe in! Amen!

We are sinners, including homosexuals, so we do deserve hell. However, if you accept Jesus' Christ's gift of salvation, repent, ask for forgiveness, confess, and all that good stuff, you'll go to heaven because you are justified through our Lord Jesus Christ.

God loves us enough to come down to earth, become flesh, fulfill the prophecies, be beaten, be rejected by the Jews, be received by the Gentiles, to be crucified for our sins, and be resurrected.

the bible states that it is a sin, this means that God is against it! God does love everyone, but you have to follow His laws in order to have the hope of Heaven.

According to the Bible essentially everything is a sin. Of course certain people ignore that and choose to only focus on bashing gay people. Nothing new.

God loves everybody. But he hates sin. That's why we can repent. It do say in the bible (especially the old testament) that homosexuality is a sin.

Why is there a story in the bible about how God destroyed a whole city full of gays. Actually twin cities Sodom and Gomorrah
