What age were you when you had sex for the first time?

Oops, I still pure and virgin.

I was 16 years old when i had sex for the first time with a guy that I had known my whole life. Today though kids are being exposed to sex earlier plus they say that all the hormones in the foods we feed our children causes them to mature physically faster and can cause early puberty and make them have sexual feelings much sooner. Other times it is simply a matter of a child wanting to be an adult and most are aware pretty early on about sex that adults have. I know I always heard my mom and dad through the walls and then i stayed over with my friend a lot when i was younger (like 5 years old) and would hear her parents so kids just hear these things earlier now and ask questions and want to be like mom and dad.

I was 16...sadly my husband was 13....yikes!

I felt ready at 16 becausex I had been in the relationship for a year and felt comfortable enough with myself to do have sex. I know people who started younger, and that would have been tough.

I think we are a sex-absorbed country, and while sex is becoming less taboo as a subject, it is also still an embarrassing topic for many people to discuss with their kids, so kids get mixed signals. My parents and I were always very open about it, but I was the last one of my friends to lose my virginity, and I didn't even have my driver's license yet!

Kids get signals from TV shows like two and a half men, sex and the city, desperate housewives, reality TV, etc that all come on that many families watch together. But the parents never really talk about se, either because they are ashamed or don't feel comfortable, so a lot of kids grow up thinking wrongly about sex. It's sad but true.

Don't faint but I was 13, I am now 53 . . . . I was lucky enough that the boy I had sex with is now my hubby & has been for 37yrs. I got pregnant at 15 & at that time it was almost automatic marriage otherwise u were placed in an unwed mothers home until the baby was born, it was given up for adoption & when u came home your parents always lied & said u had been visiting relatives. Kids today r nothing like that . . . it seems like they r proud of being 13 or 14 & pregnant & of being with lots of boys . . . no self respect or morals. My neice who is 16 just gave birth in March & my God she was tickled about it & didn't bother her one bit that she wasn't married or that the baby's father has nothing to do with her & the baby . . . she has a new BF & I expect before 3 months r up she'll be pregnant again. These kids r so rude & down right vulgar in todays world . . . I wonder what changed that we have allowed our kids to be this way

I was 14 . I know scary isn't it . I think that is part of the reason I am so protective of my daughter . She's almost 14 . You know the old saying " If I had only known then what I know now" That is me because, I would have at least waited another 7yrs. Just to be more emotionally prepared . I'm 35 now .
