What can I use to clean my GHD straighteners?
I've noticed that the ceramic plates of my straighteners are starting to look a bit grubby. I don't want to damage them so I was wondering if there was anything that I can clean them with?

I just use a baby/make-up wipe when they are off the get right down beside the plates and than turn them on run the same baby wipe through the plates and then a tissue to dry them.
The thing that is making your GHD plates look grubby is just natural hair oils and heat protector spray.
Hope i helped .x.

While they are turned off use a clean cloth to wipe across the surface. If they are still grubby try spraying something such as window cleaner on to your GHD's and then wiping it off with a soft cloth. DON'T use anything like bleach as it will damage our GHD's. To try and stop them getting grubby make sure you only use them with clean hair and heat protection.

What to do is, dampen a piece of cotton wool and pour a little cif cream cleaner (must be cream) then switch straightners on for a minute, then switch off and rub the cif cream along the plates while they are still hot.
They will come up like new.
I have been doing it for years as I use hairspray.

Just a cloth or paper towel should be fine! I have a karmin straightener and wipe the plates down after each use.

Wet a cotton ball and drain it and then go over the plates when they are cold and turned off.

Just wipe them with a clean sponge (rinsed in water). Don't use any other chemical sprays/liquids etc. I use a sponge rinsed in water and my still work perfect!
