  • What is your opinion of the Swine Flu Jab for under 5's?

My little boy (who is nearly 4) has had a letter saying that this is now available to him. I'm not sure what to do, so many people are against it, but on the other hand I know loads of people who have had swine flu and I really wouldn't want my little man to go through that!! Other peoples opinions would be grarefully received!

  • A question about Guinea Pigs?

I have had two Guinea Pigs now for 9 days and they are still very timid of me. The older one out of the two is getting better but still very nervous. How long do they take to get used to new owners?

  • Would my Aloe Vera plant last outside?

I have an Aloe Vera but it has grown too big to put anywhere in my house. If I put it in a large pot on my decking, would it survive or would I kill it? The decking is in the sun for most of the day.

  • Can a flash be repaired on a digital camera?

The flash has gone on my camera. The message on the screen says 'flash charging', but it just won't take. Is this something that can be fixed or do I have to get a new camera?

  • Would you take your 2 year old to an Ann Summers Party?

Somebody I know is having an Ann Summers party on Saturday. I can't get a babysitter so I can't make it. When I told her this she said to me to bring my son as her son (also 2) will be there!

She text me today to see if I had any joy with a babysitter and I text back saying that I still didn't have one and really I don't want to bring my son. She hasn't replied!

Am I being too over protective, or am I right in thinking that an Ann Summers party really isn't the place for 2 year olds?

  • Staying dry during nap time, any tips?

I have been potty training my son since the second week of May. He is brilliant when he is awake for wee's, getting there with poo's, but not so good for nap time. I bought waterproof pants, but they are only good for little wee's so the bed is soaked. I put him on the loo before he goes to sleep, and he always goes. I think he goes for a wee when he wakes up, forgetting that he does not have a nappy on. I don't want to put a nappy on for nap time as I think this will send mixed signals to him. Does anyone have any tips? It isn't every nap time, but it is more often than none. Help!

  • Marco from BB9?

I only watched high lights from the pilot show, but I couldn't believe how much like Buzz Lightyear Marco looks. Does anyone else agree or is it just me watching too many Disney films?

  • 2 year old not drinking milk, any tips?

My 2 year old has stopped drinking milk! I have tried to give him milk shakes, hot chocolate, warm milk etc but he takes a few sips then says 'gone' which normally means he doesn't want it. I give him cereal with milk and he eats that ok, but always leaves the milk. I give him at least one yogurt/fromage frais a day and cheese, but are there any other ways to get calcium into him as I am worried that he is not getting enough? I don't want to give him suppliments because of all the bad press that they have been getting lately.

  • Potty training question?

I have been potty training my 2 year old son for 2 and a half weeks now and he has been doing brilliantly, only a couple of accidents. Yesterday and today he has been making himself wee, but not on the potty. He has weed on the sofa, stairs and carpet. He only does it though if he doesn't have any pants on, it's like he wants to see himself wee because he bends to see it! I'm not sure whether to ignore it and hope he gets bored, or tell him off. If i tell him off though I'm worried that it may to set him back in potty training! Anyone else ever have this? or any suggestions on how to stop it?

  • Potty training my 2 year old...any advice??

I have started to potty train my 2 year old today. He has been using the potty with no problems when he has no clothes on, he has been telling me when he has done a wee or poo etc etc but today as soon as I said that we was going to wear big boy pants he has become terrified of the potty! Do I give up or just keep trying. At the moment I have been sitting him on it every 30 mins and he has done a wee every time. Is this a normal reaction or is he not quite ready yet?
