My 2 year old suffers with travel sickness?
He is fine on motorways, but it's when we have to travel anywhere on bendy or country roads that he is sick. Is there anything that I can give him or is he too young?

My little boy gets travel sick aswell, we find the best thing for him is to have a sunshade in his car window to stop the flashing in his eyes (wearing a cap or sunglasses will also help) open the window a little to help keep him cool & make sure he's not eaten too much (or anything too rich) before we leave. We try and carry a plastic bag or even a toy bucket on the off chance he does feel sick, he can then keep it on his lap which will save him being ill on his clothes and a packet of wet wipes is always handy for cleaning up after or for cooling him down a bit.
When i was little i used to hold an old fashioned penny in my hand, my dad used to call it the special travel penny and if i held it tight and not let it go i wouldn't be sick but my hand would also magically turn green, it seemed to work and took my mind off the sickness.
I've tried the motion sickness wrist bands but they didn't work for me, they rely on you finding the right pressure point on your wrists and that's easier said then done. Medicines and tablets might be successful but because he's so young you'd really need to see what a gp reccomends.

I am 24 and I have suffered from motion sickness since I was very very young, I have always taken something called quails, they are available from over the counter in boots and I think they make them for children now too.
There is also a herbal based product for stress relief called Kalms, they work really well but I am not sure if they are for younger children. worth a look.

we used to give our eldest daughter something to hold in her hand and told her to make sure she didnt drop it. it took her mind off it for most of the time. nowadays you can buy these bracelets to put on their wrist and it presses on an accupuncture point which is supposed to quell the travel sickness. another thing we used to do was take an old container ie a bigish plastic lunchbox and lined it with a few tissues for her to be sick in if we couldnt stop in time. another thing i was told was to get her to focus on something big in the distance.

Boots do wristbands which have a bead attached to them, this goes on a certain part of their wrist and applies slight pressure.
I have tried and tested them as my son suffered terribly.
They definately work, which means no tablets that may make him drowsy.
