what model is this mercedes benz ?(pic included)?

That picture was taken when the SLR was still a concept. In 1998 they unveiled the Vision SLR Concept to the world. A couple of years later, they made the roadster concept called the Vision SLR Roadster. That pictured is the Vision SLR Roadster, not the Mercedes McLaren SLR Roadster (production version). The Vision SLR didn't have the side exhausts, that came later when McLaren made subtle changes to the exterior. You can see the concept interior (seats) as well. Then Mercedes made a press release that they were going to manufacture the SLR. Eventually Mercedes purchased 45% of McLaren, and brought McLaren in on the project and it became the Mercedes McLaren SLR.

Personally, I like the Vision SLR more than the Mercedes McLaren SLR.

Some design cues in the Vision SLR Coupe made its way into the SL from 2003 to current. The openings on the hood are similar to those on the Vision SLR Coupe. In 2004 the SL Sport Package had the rims from the Vision SLR Coupe. The current SLK also has design cues from the Vision SLR Coupe as well. The openings on the hood, and the grille.

That is NOT the new gullwing! In order for a car to have gullwing style doors, it has to be a hardtop. Furthermore, gullwing style doors do not open like that. Do a Google search of "1954 Mercedes SL Gullwing," or "Mercedes SLC Concept."

actually I need to correct previous responses, this looks like an SLR roadster, but this is a picture of it when it was still at concept stage pre-production that is. the model currently on the streets ressembles it a lot with a few mods.

ACTUALLY I DONT THINK THIS IS A SLR MCLAREN, AN SLR MCLAREN HAS EXHAUSTS ON THE SIDE UNDERNEATH THE DOOR AND THIS CAR DOESNT, THIS IS A SLK OR CLK ROADSTER WITH A LAMBO DOOR CONVERSION
