Per Gun ban supporters, should london look at banning knives, and all sharp objects?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24808304/%3E1=7701

Just seems like the next logical step, I mean if banning guns doesn't stop crime and murder then I am sure banning knives will, probably need to ban cars, and pencils, as well as pens.

Update:

Your right truth hurts, leave that to expolsive materials.... which can never be outlawed because they have too many practical uses.

Who is trying to ban Guns? Have you ever seen what an AK-47 does to 10 and 11 year old that have been shot up? Well I have and I believe those types of Guns should be left in the Military.

I think the country should be like an airplane.

No scissors, plastic utensils only, liquids in 3oz containers or less....

    Sheesh.....

Truth hurts - 9/11 was with box cutters.... so do we ban everything or just catch the criminals and arm the citizenry to defend itself?

Hardly from London here, and we do have a cultural bias (2d amendment and all), but still....

In response to the above responder, blades are indeed responsible for mass killings. Consider the many years of humanity that existed before guns and also the recent genocide that has been occurring in Africa for many years. Much of it is done with machetes.

Knives are more deadly than guns. It was a mistake for England to ban guns since crime in England will continue to rise.

Gun control kills people. Guns were used at least a million times last year for self-defense.
