Are You Going to Heaven When You Die?

Of all things you should be sure of is your eternal destiny. To say, "I hope I'm going to Heaven," Is like standing at the open door of an airplane 25,000 feet in the air, and when asked, "Do you have your parachute on?" answering with "I hope so." You want to know so, and you can, simply by obeying the Gospel. If you repent,(turn from your sin) and place your faith in Jesus Christ to save you from your sins. He will grant you eternal life and you can KNOW your eternity is secure. Go to God in prayer, confess to him that you know you are a sinner and that you believe that Jesus died on the cross as the final atoning sacrifice for all of your past, present & future sins. Ask him to be The Lord & Savior of your life. As soon as you do this, God will seal you with his Holy Spirit and you will be in an instant the right to be his child and you will NEVER be seperated from him. When you do fall into sin, ask his forgiveness. He always wipes the slate clean and will no more remember your sin.

What if I can't believe in Jesus?

It's a fine story and all, but there's no proof or evidence that there is a heaven, or that Jesus is the path to it, other than the Bible saying so.

So what if I am incapable of ignoring those unknowns? If I said I believe in Jesus I would be lying to you and myself, so how would someone go about tricking the mind into ignoring the many questions and unknowns? You can't simply choose to believe, you have to truly believe.

    For me, that is impossible.

I don't have to believe in Jesus Christ in order to go to "heaven." All I do is just live my life and when its time then I cross over and I am just a spirit in the other realm. Also I am not a believer of Hell so I will automatically go to "heaven." Oh yeah the closest thing to the devil are low-astral plane spirits that had such terrible lives. Hell is when you're a ghost and deny they you're dead. That is what I think. SOME LADY is trying to preach me here. by the way Catholics are better than Christians. Christians are too FUNDAMENTAL like that Tammy lady!! Hope her soul stays in this REALM!!! (Equivalent GO TO HELL)

    Assuredly 'YES'!

My hope is built on nothing less

    Than Jesus blood and righteousness

I dare not trust the sweetest frame

But wholly lean on Jesus' name

On Christ the solid Rock I stand

All other ground is sinking sand

All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness seems to hide His face,

I rest on His unchanging grace.

In every high and stormy gale,

My anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, His covenant, His blood,

Support me in the whelming flood.

When all around my soul gives way,

He then is all my Hope and Stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,

Oh may I then in Him be found.

    Dressed in His righteousness alone,

Faultless to stand before the throne.

I was brought up as a catholic but i figure myself to be an atheist i don't believe in heaven, eternal life is different to heaven. I think the big man (if he exists) has more intended for us than to live an 80 year life then sit on a cloud till the end of eternity. I believe that we are reincarnated as different people, so we can do something as opposed to basically nothing in your so called heaven.

Every living thing that dies will rot either in or above the ground depending on whether or not it's buried. That's the end of life, the end of troubles, problems and pain. There's nothing else to it.

Nope, no one is. We all go to the spirit world to await the resurrection and the Millenium. This goes on for another 1000 years to train us and teach us how to live perfectly, then there is the final judgement, and for some, heaven.

I finished reading your question. It sure is a lot of preaching going on there, but your points are well taken.

If I'm right, no, if I'm wrong, no.

And don't give me all of that "But you lose either way", because I simply CAN'T believe it. It's too far-fetched for my liking.

Of course, if God actually weighs up peoples virtues and values instead of having a "You didn't believe in me in the right way, even though I supposedly sent down several different ways of getting through, so you're not allowed in" attitude as depicted in the Bible, then I may be OK.
