This means they can't masturbate. As for sex, this is affected too. Because during circumcision a lot of specialised nerves are cut off and there is no gliding effect. So there are no benefits. It was and still is used to restrict pleasure. Today only 50% of America boys are circumcised and that number is falling as people realised they have been duped. many things play a part in why it continues to this day: ignorance, arrogance, perversion, general disregard for patients' bodies, denial (perhaps because the surgeon is himself circumcised), and, in some countries, profit for the commercially motivated who can get paid both for the surgery and for 'donating' the amputated foreskin for research.

But I must admit I had not considered the case against male circumcision before, it was normal practice when I was a child, although I was never "done", my foreskin retracted itself, and I can see that I have suffered some of the disadvantages mentioned.

I've actually heard of that procedure being done on some women, who have trouble finding sex pleasurable because of a "hooded" clitoris here in the states. So, are you sure it's illegal? As for the reaction from women, perhaps they don't understand the difference, and it all gets lumped together. As for the rest, I'm not at all sure that it's "cleaner," but there ARE women here who get that done as well, to make the area "nicer looking." (It's true).
