Don't you think that common sense tells us we can live in a much more peaceful world if we dont police the wor

No nation building, but rather how about we a country set an example to the rest of the world- Reduce the size of government and were not ELIMINATING government were simply handing this over to the Private Sector.

Whether you agree or disagree on my positions I believe I'm the only candidate who follows his principles- As a doctor I refused to accept medicare, As a Father/Grandfather I have made sure my children do not take out student loans. So to sume it up I practice what I preach and Regean once said that the heart of conservatism is libertarian. And that's following our constitution, Not letting the government have control over our lives and stop printing so much money- Were already nearly bankrupt as a nation- Thomas Jefferson and our founding fahters are rolling in their graves for what were putting up with.

So I'd like to hear your opinions.

People say Give up Ron- But the great thing about Americans is if you look at our history we have always fought for our freedom

Update:

*Don't police the world.

(Ran out of room, sorry!)

Update 2:

We don't understand Middle Eastern countries and we never have. We have to look at ourslelves and say Everytime we go in war we lose countless american lives and today you look at the war's impact on our economy. People need to realize that you can't police the world without opposition- Why do you think 9/11 happened? We've been bombing them for 10 years. The rest of the world HATES us- Not because were free but because we get involved in other countrie's business.

Their will undoubtly be conflict in the Middle East for hundreds of years, Their will be conflict around the world- Ron Paul is not against not going to war- He voted to go to Afghanistan and get the real terrorist- Osama Bin Ladin. Americans need to look back and think wait WHY exactly are we in Iraq? and WHY have our soldiers donated more to Ron Paul then any other cadidate combined (except Obama, Close second) WHY?

Because people believe in the message of freedom and non-interventionism but the mainstream media

Update 3:

will undermind Me- Ron Paul to make sure I don't get a chance to shine.

PROOF: Google Trends- RON PAUL when Ron Paul reached his peak popularity, the mainstream media immediately shunned him from the news according to the graphs. They don't report the news, They report what they want you to hear and they take out what you dont want you to hear.

I'll tell you what they dont want you to hear- Theirs a Revolution spreading across America and its BIG- This summer in Washington DC there will be a massive Revolution march with live bands, thousands upon thousands of people with Ron as a keynote speaker.

People are sick and tired of the government taking care of them from cradle to grave. People are sick and tired of starting pointless wars. Let's better our lives, Let's better our nation and overall let's better the world and set an example on how truly great a nation can be under freedom.

Update 4:

Also this is really hilarious- Someone hear knows Im right they don't like the truth and the only flaw they can find is an error I made in the titling of this question.

You're right, Ron. We Americans would be living in a more peaceful world if we didn't police the world.

After all, WHY did Osama Bin Laden attack the Towers in the first place? How many Americans even KNOW?

It's because the US had set up US MILITARY BASES in Saudi Arabia which OBL felt was Arab Holy Land, and which he saw as the US attempting to exploit his country (which I suspect we are). Had the U.S. NOT set up bases in Saudi Arabia, OBL NEVER would have attacked the Towers in the first place!

So it really is true that, by sending our military fingers out into the world, the US threatens other nations with our military presence---and by doing so-- yes, we invite problems upon ourselves.

The cold war is OVER. We don't have to (actually, never did have to) have extensive troops throughout the world.

The way to gain PEACE for ourselves is to SET THE EXAMPLE. Be a good neighbor, NOT the 'bully' that every neighbor hates. Show the world that we're a 'fair' people, us Americans, not a bomb-happy people that kill first and ask questions later.

You can't! I was very smart as a kid but lacked common sense! I am lucky I'm alive. I don't know when, but all of a sudden I had all kinds of common sense...might have happened just as I stuck that fork into the outlet, or when I checked the mowers gas level by looking in the tank with a lit match to see better! Or just possibly when I left the lid down on the gas grill then lite it after the gas was on for a few minutes. I really liked those eyebrows and missed them dearly! But I am feeling much better now! Yes I did do all of that foolish stuff and lived, so I guess that if tou make it past 12 or so your common sence kinda just kicks in until you hit 16. Then all bets are off again!

    One word - Switzerland.

Non-interventionism changes us from the school yard bully to the kid who has all the good stuff to trade at lunch. It's about having excellent relations with all nations but staying out of their politics.

Spider - research how and why Hitler came to power and non-interventionism will suddenly make a WHOLE lot of sense to you. And if you think Saddam would have had control over the entire Middle-East you don't have an ounce of faith in Israel and Israel is pretty darned powerful.

New Old Left - I have to ask - how would you figure that? I don't get it. Everyone keeps every penny they earn, government programs that don't work are privatized so quality goes way up and cost way down, we stop subsidizing illegal immigration...how is any of this barbarism OR Darwinism?

Imagine a newly built neighborhood. All the families have little kids...one has a teenage boy. The teen boy decides he must intervene in every scuffle between the wee-ones. Wee-ones come to dislike teen-boy. If teen-boy's parents (U.S. Citizenry) told him to BUTT OUT!... he'd be inclined to do so.

I believe that puts the monkey on OUR back to tell our teen-govt to behave, finally.

    ...

Aegis of freedom: Yes we need police. No I won't pay while other nations don't.

Personally, I own an income property in a high-crime area. Occupancy is several points below that of nearby areas (in one of which, I owned a similar property), simply because police response time is, in many cases, more than 13 hours!

I could build the property up if I had the money to pay uniformed Police officers $70/hr for their services.

    WHY SHOULD I ?!!

I already pay more taxes than I did for GOOD policing at the other property and yet, here, I get NOTHING!

WE DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO POLICE THE WORLD!!!

Im not american but ihave no quams with any country.

I do believe though that there is a lack of community these days and that ppl in general are using government as a crutch rather than a support. Like u say as a grandfather u take care of your own. Many people do not now. But to be able to take care of themselves is worse.

In the uk just now house pricese and rent are too high for ppl to move out leaving parents looking after their kids longer or ppl like me having to share with ppl to get by.

focus more on home rather than getting involved with other countries.

The policing of the world is going hand in hand with the promotion of private business interests! I think it's clear that if there was no money to be made in policing the world nobody would be doing it. I don't think it's a coincidence that those areas of the world that are being most closely policed happen to be resource rich.

Nevertheless I do think that encouraging global trade links even through armed force will lead to a more peaceful world. Those countries which trade freely with each other don't go to war with each other.

The reason we are at war with the world is because we practice a form of polygamy that we want to shove off on the whole world. The American man is a pimp whose sole purpose for living is his Playboy Philosophy dream that he will father a bunch of bastards by one young ho after another. Do Americans really believe that every dumb dog in the world is going to marry 2 or 3 young wives apiece, each one younger than the last?

Yet this is the polygamy dream of the typical American @sswipe. The civilized world thinks we are insane, and the Muslims don't understand why they shouldn't practice polygamy the old fashioned way, instead of dumping one set of wife and kids into the street so he can move on to his next *****.

Women in America are treated like little more than chattel on a plantation from hell. Almost all women in the world live 6-8 years longer than men. In America the age gap is 4.5 years because women have limited access to health care, especially older women who are almost all dumped by the time they are 30-40 years old.

American women have almost no political representation. Every other country in the world, bar none, has more women in national goverment than American women, except Japan where the divorce rate is about 3%, the lowest in the world.

America is a country based on the principles of Free-masonry, not Christianity, as is often claimed by the Christian Half-right. The founding fathers were a bunch of slave raping pimps who oversaw the most massive genocide in all recorded human history and allowed the most shocking and depraved form of slavery in the world at the time.

Wake up America. It's time for a real revolution where we kill the guilty instead of the innocent, and establish a constitutional Christian monarchy like the rest of the civilized world.

Yes, hence the reason I was going to vote for him, and still will, if he is on the ballot. I have two candidates this year and they are wholly different except for a couple of very important elements.

Liddy...common sense should've told you he was spelling WORld not war.

Spider Man, we intervened in WW2 after Japan attacked us, not before. And Germany lost due to invading Russia and some strategical snafu's, hardly our doing. Saddam, we went in with UN support and the Arab League support.

You mention two exceptions....think of all the others out there that have blown up in the faces of many throughout history. You just proved the rule.

Come back home. We can reason well and live well amongst ourselves as Americans without letting both sides of the media divide us. We can set an example to the world by conducting a fair, honest, no name calling and hateful election. Look back. This division started with the politics of 6-8 years back.

Yes. It's a bad situation today because of Bush.

But, we can also blame our corporations sending jobs abroad.

    Mattel

    Computer manufacturers.

    Chemical giants

    Dog food production

Plastics companies (one of the reasons China and India need more oil)

Lead acid battery production (Mexico because of poor environmental laws)

    on and on.
