Isn't it strange how we believe anything that magazines say, but we question what the Bible says?

About all I ever get to read these days is Scientific American and Discover magazine. Both (usually) have better sources to back them up than the Bible, so I put much more trust in what they say than what the Bible does.

I don't believe everything I read sweetheart. I learned how to read a bibliography and do my own research in high school. Didn't you?

PS What magazines are you reading that make crazy claims like donkeys can talk, magic fruit creates sin, women can spontaneously turn into pillars of salt and burning a shrubbery is a god?

Who the hell believes everything a magazine says? Especially if it's the only one that does say it and thousands of other magazines say different things? If Newsweek told me Obama won and Time told me McCain won in their November issue one of them (at least) is wrong. It's not like there's only one holy book ya know!

No...because most magazines are written in this century! We are living while the magazines are being written. We were not living when the bible was written obviously!

I know what you are getting at. I was watching a show about the crystal skulls and their search for the remaining skulls, it was very interesting and very believable. I don't know how much truth there is to this though. But there are things that are written in the Bible have already come to pass.

I certainly question what magazines say, except that magazines are based on reality. I entirely dismiss the Bible.

I don't believe something just because it's in a magazine.

Wait, you believe anything magazines tell you with no questions asked?

    I know whatyou mean hon.

Yes, people want the nicest clothes, cars and lifestyles they can afford. They watch the television, read magazines & billboards. They allow these medias to subconciusly stir their desires.

I mean hey, there isn't an entire industry of fashion, makeup and shoes because no one is reading the magazines.

Yet, you bring up the bible and it's as if you want to sell crack to kids.
