I'm so tired of reading news stories of teenagers, overweight people and anyone else with a perceived handicap being bullied or harassed. I'm more tired of seeing comments stating, "we need to do something" or "we should do something about it". Alright, here's an idea: Arrest the offenders, right on the spot, point blank! Have them live in the other person's shoes, with no time off for good behavior. If the offender is an adult, they should serve 1 year; if the offender is another teenager, they should serve 3-6 months. If the parents complain about it being "unfair", 1 year is tacked on to the offender's sentence, and the parents have to serve the same sentence for 1 year, because they didn't do their job teaching their child compassion.

This is non-negotiable, there are no second chances. Jail doesn't work for serial murderers and rapists; why do bullies just get a slap on the wrist and told to go on their merry way, leaving the harassed person out there to fend for themselves? Free counseling should be provided for the harassed person, no matter how long it takes.

My 16 year old son has been invited to his first house party. It's a birthday party for one of his school friends. I spoke to the girl's mother, and asked some questions, but I'm wondering what else I should have asked her. I asked if alcohol being served (no), was she aware that the party was going on (yes), was she going to be at the party (yes), and where she lived. I didn't ask her if there were any weapons in the house, I didn't think of that one until after I'd hung up.

Why are spoons upside down on the bowl side, but right side up on the back side?

My husband was telling me that he wants to be cremated after death. I said okay. He said it's cheaper than being buried. He also told me something else, and he claimed that he asked several people, and one of his good friends confirmed it.

He said that when a body is being cremated, it is put into a box (not the coffin), it's put into the crematory and then you hear popping sounds, as if the body is trying to get out! I can't believe that. I'd like to know if this is true.

I just read another news story of a dad in Florida who killed his wife, 7 year old son and 5 month old son. He tried to kill the 13 year old son, but kept missing him. He's ok physically, but he will be traumatized for the rest of his life.

This hits close to home for me, because I know someone that this happened to. A girl I went to college with was married to this man, and for some reason, he killed her, his mother in law, and three children, the baby being just 6 weeks old.

I get that these are perilous times, and fights break out between husbands and wives, over the most inane things, but why take your anger or frustration out on the babies?? What did they do to deserve death, because you can't get it together?

I'm not advocating suicide or murder, but if you're that upset over a situation, stop, think, get yourself some help, and leave your family out of it.

The first thing I thought was, why is she wearing a dress that makes her look like a black widow spider?

People lick their fingers and then touch pages in a book!! I have a couple of teachers who do this very disgusting thing. I like both teachers very much, but don't want their DNA on my books and papers! I don't care if they want to do it with their stuff, but what do I say to get them to stop that with my stuff?

I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately, and I'm curious to know what it means. Thanx.

I can see if the celebrity is Angelina Jolie or Madonna, they have ever-expanding families, but I've looked at the houses of Gene Simmons and Will Smith, and they only have 2 or 3 children; why have all that extra space?

I'm asking because my oldest sister died last Thursday, her funeral was this past Monday, and all day, I was thanking people left and right. I kinda got tired of it, and I was just wondering why.

I live with my husband and two boys, and more often than not, the toilet seat is left up. My husband says it's supposed to be up, I say it's supposed to be down, because I live there too. He says, "Do you want to sit on a wet seat?" I say, "You can't aim well?" He says, "It's not about the aim, it's about the dribble." I say, "Clean it up." What do you say?

and not concerned enough about what is already in the Bible? The Bible says in John 21:25 that there are things that Jesus did that are not included in this book. All that we need to know to get to heaven is already there, and we should follow it. Imagine this: if everything that everybody believed about the Bible was in there, do you know how big that book would be?? We’d never be able to pick it up!
