All kinds of good places in Monterey, Mexico. If you're looking in the U.S. you will be hard struck to find Mexican food......Most places that advertise they serve Mexican food is really Tex-Mex or Southwestern U.S. food and is not authentic Mexican.

Fajitas aren't real mexican food. If you're going to be in Phoenix area, I suggest trying the local mexican food--don't just stick to fajitas.

Phoenix is a big sprawly city, so it's hard to suggest a place without knowing what part of town you're in.

I don't know about Fajitas specifically but some really great mexican places in the valley are Tia Rosa's, Los dos Molinos, Abuelo's and Aunt Chilada's.

There is a place called Fajitas on the I-17 and Northern or so. They have shrimp, beef, and chicken.
