Help me please!!!!?

I have a plant at home called Dieffenbachia which is poisenous and My dog had licked or ate some of it while I wasn't watching, she is an 11 year old golden retriever and I don't know the effects it has on her, when she licked it she started licking the air excessively and then going outside eating a bunch of grass which they do when they don't feel well sometimes.

Dieffenbachia contains a poison that paralyzes the muscles and causes the throat to swell. In humans, mild poisoning makes you unable to speak -- hence the name "dumb cane". Stronger doses make breathing difficult leading to shortness of breath and in rare cases, death.

If your dog is still walking and breathing, she will recover, but you should see the vet and get some antihistamines for her.

KEEP THAT PLANT AWAY FROM ANIMALS AND CHILDREN. It is one of the most poisonous plants on earth.

Call your vet and throw away the plant. What are you doing with a plant that is poisonous to pets? They don't know they aren't supposed to eat it.

Get the dog to the vet - IMMEDIATELY. This plant is EXTREMELY poisonous. Your dog needs medical attention.
