With the news that the Premierships wages bill topped £1 Billion this year...?

you have to ask yourself if these players are worth the wages they are paid. As much as I like football, I do not think anyone on the planet deserves to be paid £50,000 + per week.

Unless you save lives for a job.

Oh, wait, no, saving lives isn't as important as scoring goals and sleeping with vacuous women. Sorry.

I would like to see wages capped but I don't think it's workable.

If that happens in this country, then all the good players will just move abroad and the Premiership will not be the best league in the word any longer.

It's not as if they are stealing the money or conning anyone out of it, it all comes from revenue from the club, we wouldn't like it if we were told how we were allowed to spend our own money.

Edit: and don't get me started on movie stars......

they dont know, if anyone does its doctors etc, but they provide entertainment (gervais, lee evans etc are minted), not only that they are walking adverts, and if they are good eg(ronaldo's kaka messi) you can warrant the money they get paid, because they provide that finance for the club in endorsements, and winning games. So If you look at how much they earn, its sick, but im guessing ronaldo probably generates 100,000 a week in endorsements, and he sure has helped in winning united 2 trophys which also come with HUGE money and TV Rights..

Summed up, its an insane amount of money. but they kinda deserve it as they provide such a massive finance for the club...

its becoming a joke there is far too much money at top and not enough at bottom my team can hardly afford to stay afloat but if we got like 3 percent of Ronald's weekly wage we would be one of richest grass roots football teams its just stupid i love football but you are right no one on this planet should get 500 k a week stupid

Liverpool pay out in wages over £75m a year.

They buy every player that becomes available for an over inflated price.

They have gates of 43,000 every home match.

my point is where do they keep getting the money from?

    Should there be an enquiry?

Even though I love football, I do agree that the wages should be capped. Chelsea is the worst, they spend even more than Man U.

I think the biggest part of their salaries goes to acting schools, learning to dive ,fall over, feign injury etc. Watch rugby league, much more honesty on the pitch.
