Is it bad writing on your hand/arm with a pen?

Writing on your arm doesn't do anything bad to you. There could be a problem if you write on yourself and there is a break in the skin where you write. If the ink gets into a cut or scratch you could get ink poisoning or you could give yourself a tattoo without meaning to. Once the ink gets under your skin it won't come off...it's permanent. Either way you'd probably be better off using scratch paper to do your doodling, unless of course you like looking like you stole the arm off a smurf.

I do this in class as well, especially when I need to remember something. People tell me it's bad, some say it's okay. But nothing has happened to me so far, so I guess it's all good. However, since some people have told me that it's bad... I just draw with normal pens, not like markers.

I think the worst it does is gets ink into your system. At least that's what my mom tells me (she gets so mad when I do that). And it's true...when I was about 7 or 8 (about 7 or 8 years ago), I wrote on my hand with my purple pen and retraced it to see if it would stay. And then I washed it off, but it didn't get all out. So now I have this faint trace of purple pen where I drew on myself :-).

Some people say it's very bad, but as for me I think it's great!! I like writing on my hands too. It helps me to relax

It's not good. The skin is a semi-permeable organ which means it will allow some things in and some things out. Chances are the ink particles are small enough to seep in which is not healthy for you. Use non-toxic washable markers if you want to draw on yourself.

No, I don't think so! People do it all the time (including me) and nothing bad happens! Plus I totally agree with you, it is a great way to pass time in class! LOL!

i was just thinking about this today.

i was writing on my hand..and thinking why do some people think its bad to write on your hands.

im not sure if its true.
