Have you turned into a good booze snob?

I've been drinking Tanqueray Rangpur Gin for about two years now...and I ordered a gin & tonic from the well at a bar a couple weeks ago and couldn't drink the cr@p! I was shocked, I thought for sure I would like it and didn't think anything of ordering it. It tasted like rubbing alcohol.

So now I guess I am a gin snob. I only like the good stuff. D@mn the good booze, d@mn it!

    aaaaaabsolutely

bar gin is Gordons and it's cheap rubbish.

there's a bottle of some stuff with a viking longship on it in my office... apparently it's a bit special... i've baggsed it.

Meanwhile i'm still quite devoted to Bombay Sapphire. Tanqueray is nice too.

BUT yeah what happens is as you get older you are less skint, and so are your friends, and you taste better and better stuff. And you have memory for taste. You can't go back.

So you have to buy the good stuff, and you're skint again - but not young again. Bummer.

    I need a G&T after that.

Oh yes, I used to think that the cheaper the vodka, the better....till I tried higher quality stuff. Now I can't so much as SMELL cheap vodka w/out wanting to wretch!
