What kind of material is a good piece of luggage made of?
I need a piece of luggage that will make it multiple trips all over the world and am willing to pay a decent amount for it. I am considering a rolling duffel by Ogio - it is made of nylon.
Please tell me what kind of material is the best for luggage? I just had three pieces fall apart within three trips this year.
1 AnswerPacking & Preparation1 decade agoWhen is the best time to book a vacation to the San Francisco area for May 23-June 1?
We are going to San Francisco/Santa Cruz and Vallejo during the week we are there. I am just wondering when the best window would be to book the plane tickets?

Fashion & Accessories1 decade agoWhat kind of luggage do you have?
I bought a five piece set of luggage at Macys last Thanksgiving..and after two trips to Vegas and one trip to Ontario they are worthless. Completely ripped up and a mess.
What is a good piece of luggage? Something that I can pack 7 days worth of clothing, etc. in and that will last for at least three years, and also that will endure going all over the world.
I see that Diane Von Furstenburg luggage gets good ratings, but they are expensive! The more I look the more it seems like I am just going to have to bite the bullet and pay the money.
What about the rolling duffel bag style? Ogio seems to make good ones.
Your opinions on luggage are greatly appreciated!

4 AnswersLas Vegas1 decade agoMy new LG env2 keeps shutting off on me. Is there some trick I need to know to stop that? Battery is full!?
I've had the phone for two days, and it keeps just powering down for no apparent reason. The battery is full. I've tried to see if I could find something in the settings to stop this, but can't find anything.....help!

3 AnswersCell Phones & Plans1 decade agoAre there stores that have a waiting list for the Wii?
I haven't played a video game since the first Nintendo came out when I was a kid (yes, that totally dated me!) but my husband and I want one!
1 AnswerNintendo Wii1 decade agoI am thinking of making stuffed chicken and putting it in foil with some veggies on the bbq?
I am going to put cheese, cranberry, pecan, etc. in the chicken..and then put some lemon slices and olive oil over the top of it. And add some brussel sprouts and broccoli in the packet.
Do you think this will cook up well on its own, or should I brown the stuffed chicken first? Its been a long time since I've made packet food on the bbq.
5 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoWhat do you do keep your dog from digging in your flower beds??
I set 16 mouse traps around and so far its worked..but in the older flower beds she dug yesterday (where there aren't any mouse traps). I about killed her...well I wanted to anyways. Some times I swear she can hear rodents scurrying in the soil because she will stare at the dirt and tilt her head like dogs do when they are listening.
Anyways, got any other ideas?
5 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoHave you turned into a good booze snob?
I've been drinking Tanqueray Rangpur Gin for about two years now...and I ordered a gin & tonic from the well at a bar a couple weeks ago and couldn't drink the cr@p! I was shocked, I thought for sure I would like it and didn't think anything of ordering it. It tasted like rubbing alcohol.
So now I guess I am a gin snob. I only like the good stuff. D@mn the good booze, d@mn it!
2 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWhen you chew Orbit gum does it make a squeeky sound when it gets mashed between your teeth?
I am chewing the Strawberry Mint flavor right now and the noise is driving me insane!
The logo is "Just Brushed Clean Feeling" so maybe its "brushing" my teeth. What do you think?
1 AnswerPolls & Surveys1 decade agoDo English Cucumbers (supposedly burpless) make you have flatulence?
I stopped eating regular cucumbers because I got tired of tasting them all day. But now these ones make me so gassy I can't hardly stand being in the same room with myself!
Just wondering if anyone else has this experience? Is there no such thing as a gas-less cucumber??
4 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoHow big of a pump do I need for a pond that is 3ft long by 1.5 ft wide?
And about 3 feet deep at the most.
Thank you!
1 AnswerGarden & Landscape1 decade agoDo I really need to use a pump in a pond in my garden?
I just want to fill this pond with some plants and maybe a mosquito eater fish and thats it. Very simple.
I think the pond is a 50-75 gallon pond. Not very big - maybe 2.5 ft deep, 3 feet long and 1.5 wide and the widest.
Also, can I put any plant in the water? - Grasses, Banana Leaf Tree, etc?
I live in Oregon so I need plants that are hearty and that can also live in partial shade.
Thanks for your advice. Please don't give me alot of links without any explanation.
6 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoAside from Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch, are there other nice resorts on the outskirts of Vegas?
I have stayed on the strip many times and would like to stay somewhere else and get a different experience of Vegas. I am staying at the Winn for three nights in September for work, but my husband and I are coming down three nights ahead of time for pleasure.
What other resorts are there, aside from the two listed above that have great pool areas, a casino and really good eating options. We essentially want to have it all in one spot, so we don't have to go anywhere.
